Mary's dead in heaven. Friends aren't.

The only way to get there is to die.

To us, here on hearth, she's dead. Her body ceased functioning and died and was buried, just like everyone except Enoch and Elijah, and there's no record in the Bible of Mary getting there that way.

How is that passage instruction to pray to dead people?

Israel was always marked by its apostasy and following pagan practices. The fact the jews did it, and it was recorded for us in the writings of the Jews does not mean it has the approval of God

As you know Maccabees is not accepted as inspired scripture by Jews or Protestants but as a document of some historical benefit.. the fact the jews may have followed the practices of heathens ..like praying to the dead or purgatory is no where confirmed as the will of God in the NT by Christ ....

The fact these practices are no where taught in the NT by Christ or the church or modeled for us there is why the Roman church included Maccabees .

Their doctrine decided the canon instead of the other way around

So I did my own googling. Turns out Benedict was petitioned by 5 Cardinals to proclaim Mary “Mediatrix.” And he REFUSED.

Do you not see the irony in that?

Here Catholics are all up in arms about how it's being pointed out that Catholics consider Mary a “Mediatrix” and yet FIVE of their Cardinals petitioned for the very thing you guys deny the RCC teaches!!!!!!!

And why? Exactly as I stated, because it can introduce confusion.

Because it would introduce confusion? That's the only reason?!?!?! Not because it's not true, but because it would introduce confusion? It not being true has nothing to do with it??????

Think about what you just said, man......

You guys are in way worse shape than you ever realized......

“Notice all the prayers adressed to Christ say ‘have mercy on us’, whereas all the prayers addressed to Mary or The Saints say ‘pray for us’. “

Finally, a Catholic admits to praying TO Mary. Thank you for admitting what most Catholics are deceptive about.

Yawn. More twaddle.

Asking YOU to pray for me does not mean that you are an object of worship. It does mean that I have “prayed” to you for your help.

Twaddle like yours seems to be all that the proddies here have.

You guys are in way worse shape than you ever realized......

The Second Vatican Council (Lumen gentium ## 61-62), said: ... in suffering with Him as He died on the cross, she cooperated in the work of the Savior, in an altogether singular way, by obedience, faith, hope, and burning love, to restore supernatural life to souls. As a result she is our Mother in the order of grace. This motherhood of Mary in the economy of grace lasts without interruption, from the consent which she gave in faith at the annunciation, and which she unhesitatingly bore with under the cross, even to the perpetual consummation of all the elect. For after being assumed into heaven, she has not put aside this saving function, but by her manifold intercession, she continues to win the gifts of eternal salvation for us. By her motherly love, she takes care of the brothers of her Son who are still in pilgrimage and in dangers and difficulties, until they be led through to the happy fatherland. For this reason, the Blessed Virgin is invoked in the Church under the titles of Advocate, Auxiliatrix, Adiutrix, and Mediatrix. This however it to be so understood that it takes nothing away, or adds nothing to the dignity and efficacy of Christ the one Mediator. For no creature can ever be put on the same level with the Incarnate Word and Redeemer...."

"Leo XIII, in the text referred to, spoke of her, as we saw above, as having "practically limitless power." St. Pius X said she was the "dispensatrix of all the gifts, and is the "neck" connecting the Head of the Mystical Body to the Members. But all power flows through the neck. Pius XII said "Her kingdom is as vast as that of her Son and God, since nothing is excluded from her dominion." These and many other texts speak in varied ways of Mary as Mediatrix of all graces, so often that the teaching has become infallible.

yes they are ...in way worse shape

You claim to know the State of my Soul?

When a "Christian" is given the opportunity to witness by preaching The Gospel any hesitation is between them and God. All I can do is make a personal judgment that their talk doesn't match their walk.

Matt. 10:32 Therefore whoever confesses Me before men, him I will also confess before My Father who is in heaven.

I've really been blessed to be part of a church that has a Theological Seminary associated with it. Because of this I've met young people just "jumping out of their skin" waiting for the chance to witness. Here at FR we see just the opposite from the RC & EO posters. In fact they mock The Gospel calling it foolishness.

"pray [ pray ] verb (past and past participle prayed, present participle pray·ing, 3rd person present singular prays) Definition: 1. transitive and intransitive verb, religion, speak to God: to speak to God, a deity, or a saint, e.g. in order to give thanks, express regret, or ask for help" --msn encarta dictionary

Catholics Worship The Blessed Trinity only. Attempting to slip up our tongues and misconstrue what we means proves nothing, accept that you need to use dishonest means to attempt to prove your point.

Catholics are taught, in practice at the church level, that Jesus cannot refuse any request that Mary makes of Him, referring to the water into wine as a proof text.

Therefore, Catholics think that if they can go to Mary, they can get what they want because she petitioned Him for it, what Jesus may not grant them if they petitioned Him for themselves.

Well we see here at FR catholics do not know it

We do and those that preach The Gospel are mocked by them. When you realize what's happening it makes Scripture jump off the page.

"To us, here on hearth, she's dead."

Aren't you the one who claims that people in hell are "living" in hell? So souls in hell are living, but Mary in heaven is dead? Sounds like your hatred has finally driven you mad.

Mat 5:11 Blessed are ye, when [men] shall revile you, and persecute [you], and shall say all manner of evil against you falsely, for my sake.12 Rejoice, and be exceeding glad: for great [is] your reward in heaven: for so persecuted they the prophets which were before you.

Their mocking is a great blessing William ...
