Isn't that the same person for whom you've expressed great admiration for his knowledge? In fact, have you not claimed to fall back on his historical expertise?

Knowledge and belief are two separate things. Kosta knows more about the Greek NT and the development of the NT and the early Church than I. What does that have to do with the current state of his religious beliefs? I've been taught process control theory by a Marxist. Does that lessen the legitimacy of his facts?

God would not let an unbeliever know His Mind, which is what the Word is

Is that a fact?

I said that they are arrogant in deciding that they were saved.

Just wow....

Taking God at His word is arrogant? Who knew?

Silly me, and I thought it was called *faith*.

Romans 10:5-17 5For Moses writes about the righteousness that is based on the law, that the person who does the commandments shall live by them. 6But the righteousness based on faith says, "Do not say in your heart, 'Who will ascend into heaven?'" (that is, to bring Christ down) 7or "'Who will descend into the abyss?'" (that is, to bring Christ up from the dead). 8But what does it say? "The word is near you, in your mouth and in your heart" (that is, the word of faith that we proclaim); 9because, if you confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. 10For with the heart one believes and is justified, and with the mouth one confesses and is saved. 11For the Scripture says, "Everyone who believes in him will not be put to shame." 12 For there is no distinction between Jew and Greek; for the same Lord is Lord of all, bestowing his riches on all who call on him. 13For "everyone who calls on the name of the Lord will be saved."

14How then will they call on him in whom they have not believed? And how are they to believe in him of whom they have never heard? And how are they to hear without someone preaching? 15And how are they to preach unless they are sent? As it is written, "How beautiful are the feet of those who preach the good news!" 16But they have not all obeyed the gospel. For Isaiah says, "Lord, who has believed what he has heard from us?" 17So faith comes from hearing, and hearing through the word of Christ.

***********************************************************************************

If you declare that salvation now, then you are attempting to usurp Christ's role in Judgement [sic] and taking it upon yourself.

No, we are relying on Christ's judgment that tells us that if we believe on Him we will be saved.

You have no evidence that you are saved. Christians have hope; bozos have certainty.

1 John 5:13 I write these things to you who believe in the name of the Son of God

that you may know that you have eternal life.

I often wonder if that's what is going on with people who forsake their faith and are still looking.

They form megachurches and become televangelists.

Kosta has gone on record stating that the NT was written to make it appear that OT prophecy was being fulfilled. (post 4,440)

Is that really the kind of expertise you defer to? Someone who states that the NT was written as a deception and isn't even sure God exists?

I've been taught process control theory by a Marxist. Does that lessen the legitimacy of his facts?

Apples and oranges there. Political ideology is not technology. Kosta could very well be extremely qualified to teach in some unrelated to theology discipline, but someone who admits that he doesn't even know if God exists, is singularly unqualified to speak on the topic of God or belief in God.

Is that all you have, sarcasm?

It’s God’s report and let me tell you what I have -

I’m SAVED, I have ETERNAL LIFE now and I couldn’t be better! And all His promises to me are ‘yes’ and ‘Amen’!

for the first time in their lives they could be "loved" without having to do anything about their dark side.

Sadly, the radicals do not represent Christianity at all. The evil in this world uses them as pawns to tear down Christianity as if these people are authentic Christians.

I prayed for you a Adoration today ,dear Kosta.I pray for you to return to Divine Liturgy again

What would some Catholics know about love? They love their man made teachings/doctrines/traditions which nullifies/opposes God’s Word.

A non question. Try asking a real one.

Like I could give a flip what a Catholic who nullifies God’s Word thinks. LOL! Get off your high horse, Mark, before it throws you.

Then why ask me any questions at all? Son, you wouldn't fill a shot glass...

I said that they are arrogant in deciding that they were saved.

Get it right - it's call ASSURANCE. And since God's Word is not #1 in your walk, you don't know that. I won't charge you for that info. I AM SAVED and have ETERNAL LIFE! Thank You, JESUS!!

Yup. Thanks for preserving the stereotype of pathetic swamp raised Jayzzus tent revivals. And opposing true Biblical teaching.

Those who spurn the Church of Jesus Christ Almighty and loudly proclaim their own personal salvation are unlikely to achieve it.

Wrong again. Those who spun JESUS CHRIST do not achieve salvation.

Those who were believers from the beginning equated them. If you follow your own beliefs and those of the men who create religions, then you are not following God. The Reformation was the process whereby men ceased following the word of God, and started following the words of Billy Bob Rolex, utilizing snippets of Scripture, rather than the teachings of Christ. You have posted John and Peter and Paul and they are good words and true, but consider this: they do not prove anything of your antiCatholic position and actually only serve to reinforce the word of God brought by the Church. Your personal beliefs do not necessarily correspond to the truth of Christ.

I will take my instructions from Christ via Matthew and Luke rather than opposing instructions from Isaiah. That is a rather significant gulf that separates Christians from the children of the Reformation. You guys love Isaiah. We love Christ.

It was a possibility presented by the original poster

No it wasn't and you know better than that. I wouldn't reply myself, as a believer in God's Word alone, to such a obvious taunt posed as question.

I don't have your postings contribute anything to being a believer in God's Word alone. You may wish to try harder. Taunt? Let's have that poster post to the original question - or you do it instead.

Romans 10:5-17

Are you once again saying that Paul is God? You people are nuts, to keep insisting that Paul is actually God and that Jesus is a name brand, to be kept in the corner cabinet and occasionally called upon.

If you declare that salvation now, then you are attempting to usurp Christ's role in Judgement [sic] and taking it upon yourself.

No, we are relying on Christ's judgment that tells us that if we believe on Him we will be saved.

Negative. You specifically keep telling me that you are saved, not that you will be saved. This is dishonesty and bad theology to boot.

You may know? Read the Greek to see what it actually means...

Not apples and oranges. There is a body of knowledge of early Christianity. It does not matter if one believes or does not, as long as he produces and dicusses those facts in a scientific way. What you are calling for is cultism, which is what we Christians look on some of you guys and see.
