I have to laugh at the comment, the Bible said many things that the clergy dismissed since Joseph Smith went to the extreme of "dismissing" many sections of the Bible, to the point of your Article of Faith "We believe the Bible to be the word of God as far as it is translated correctly; we also believe the Book of Mormon to be the word of God.

Mormonism dismisses anything in the Bible that can't be twisted to buttress Joseph Smith's fiction.

Smith even went to the extreme of "translating" the Bible itself to add a section that included HIM.
