I have diverticulitis and stage IV endometriosis. Both are flaring badly and I’ve been in tremendous pain today. But I really needed to hear this. Thank you.
Good idea. Signing off.
Words of wisdom bump.
Said a quick prayer for you. Hold on.
“By My Stripes, you were healed” Jesus says to Kimmie.
Thanks. Blessings.
Make HIS words “By My stripes, you were healed” your confession (and not the doctor’s report). He took all your sickness on The Cross - according to His Word. Keep saying it, believe it and thank HIM. I’m believing with you.
And behold, a woman who was diseased with an issue of blood for twelve years came up behind Him and touched the hem of His garment;
for she said to herself, If I may but touch His garment, I shall be whole. (THIS WAS HER CONFESSION)
But Jesus turned about, and when He saw her, He said, Daughter, be of good comfort; thy faith hath made thee whole. And the woman was made whole from that hour. MATTHEW 9: 20-22
That Bible story has been my favorite from childhood. Funny how it would come to be special to me later in life.
Eventually, my time spent with God would affect me so much, I'd end up sing and praising God. I'd get back to my car, and my focus had totally changed. The issues hadn't changed, but my heart had. Christ had strengthened me at times.
Mostly, instead of focusing on the hugeness of my circumstances, I was focusing on the hugeness of my God.
It would be during this period that I'd read Gods word, not for my issue, but for what God would speak. By allowing God to speak often times he would teach or prepare me for things I couldn't see yet.
What I think is this thread is for you, personally. Frank might have thought it was a good idea to post it but I know where that idea came from. And me - posting that Scripture for you. God knows how to reach you! There is no coincidences with God. Even Einstein said - Coincidences is God’s way of being anonymous - something like that.
God knows what you are going through - believe HIM/His Words ONLY.
Now that’s a believer’s walk with God. Thanks for sharing it.
Thats beautiful thing to do. When you are in his nature praying with him. You can be more alive. I go to the Park or beach to pray. It’s a sweet peace in the Holy Spirit. Thanks for post.
Amen!
I’m a hillbilly from Kentucky. I used to walk to the top of our knob and sit by the creek to pray and meditate on the Lord. I miss those hills so, I think for that reason.
I recently found a chair I fell in love with at a yard sale for $10. Besides being quite stylish, it is low and wide — just like me. It now sits in the corner of my bedroom and if I can keep my hubby’s stuff out of it I use it as a sort of “prayer closet”. Wonderful.
At 5:30 in the morning I have found such comfort and hope in this thread. Thank you so much for “reminding” me where my focus should be. It’s something I know, I guess I just get distracted.
Kimmie, keep the faith and it will keep you. I hope you feel better soon.
Thanks again Frank Broom. You have helped to uplift and renew my thinking.
