"Why do I NEED to see every little thing identically with everyone?"

Why then do you and your anti-Catholic compatriots insist that Catholics see things the way you do?

Because, those who preach another Gospel which is NO Gospel need to be confronted and the Truth preached to the Elect.

The Roman Church has become the Judaizers of Galations, requiring rules, regulations, rituals in place of the Gospel of Grace(unmerited favor) given freely to those who believe. This formally occured when Trent anathematized the Saving Gospel.

Faith and works is NOT the Gospel. As Paul in Romans says, It must be by Grace thru Faith alone. Works destroys grace, because it becomes merit, not Grace.

"Yet you did insist he remained a Paulist until his death."

Leaving an order is highly unusual and you have no statement from the Paulists confirming it. I'm not saying it didn't or couldn't happen, but until I see it from a source other than what you have dredged up I will assume it, like the rest of your posts, is a complete fabrication.

Again, what you choose to believe is your business. I don't even care if you believe me or any of the eyewitnesses. Wayne lived the life of a sinner as a Presbyterian, but died a saved Catholic. Facts are stubborn things.

You weren't there.
Ex Paulist Fr. "Bob" Curtis has passed on.
There are no eyewitnesses.
There is no corroboration of your story. None!
You'll not hear a single word from the Paulists. Don't wait for it.

Yes, facts are a stubborn thing. Try it some time.

"Look Reggie if they want to claim John Wayne ..let them have him ... let them have whoever they claim ..."

Oh, it is entirely possible that John wayne was Baptized or, more likely, re-Baptized by FR. Curtis even though there is no such thing as a witness to this event.

In any event Baptizing a comatose person is akin to Baptizing the dead is it not?

Further, the RCC is famous for claiming the deathbed "conversion" of famous people, beginning with Constantine. There must be a story behing this.

I would suggest any protestant church that preaches and teaches the Word of God and Faith in Christ Alone.

One wonders why there is so much disagreement among them then.

A “silly “ question if Wayne was a Presbyterian why did he need to get baptized? Presbyterians are baptized as infants or if the convert from no faith as adults ...this makes no sense.. are catholics now anabaptists?

Typically, the RCC may resort to a "Conditional" Baptism under various and sundry circumstances, too numerous to list.

Have you considered the possibility that Wayne may have converted to Catholicism because he'd rather a Catholic die than a Presbyterian. Possible?

Of course it's possible.

Have you considered it was highly unlikely he would have waited until he was comatose before he made this impossible decision?

There are a lot of things that are hard or even impossible for anti-Catholics to grasp, but first among them is the fact that Catholics are Christians and saved.

For the sake of argument let's agree the oft stated number of "1.2 Billion Catholics" has a basis in fact.

You claim all these Catholics are saved?

If not, please define what you mean by "Catholic".

"There are no eyewitnesses."

Other than Fr. Curtis, Archbishop McGrath, Wayne, and of course Jesus (two or more..).

I don't care if or what you believe. By your posts on Catholicism I have already determined that you are more than content to make your own truths. I also don't really care if Wayne converted or not, that is between him and God. Its just the lies told about the incident and the aspersions cast over those who were there that cause me to continue to respond and set the record straight. I will continue to do so as long lies are told.

The stubborn facts remain. Wayne never attended Presbyterian services as an adult and on his deathbed Wayne was received into the Church, one more laborer hired at the last moment who receives the full day’s wage, one more lost lamb bounding into the sheepfold as darkness descends. At the end Wayne faced God as a penitent Catholic.

indeed.

If . . . as some stats seem to indicate . . . 20% . . . at most 25%? of claimed RC's are even very earnest RC's . . . and who knows how many of them are idolators etc. . . .

that would only be 300 MILLION WORLDWIDE AT 20% OF 1.2 BILLION.

REALLLLLLLLLLL IMPRESSIVE. . . . NOT!

However, it's usually only about 20% of any group that really carrys the water.

I get that some non-Catholics need the Catholic Church to be their whipping boy. But I wonder if you can ease up on the whipping a minute to tell me what your account is of the differences among Sola Scriptura groups.

Difficult, if not impossible, to answer. I doubt; however, there are 33,000 different definitions. :-)

Some are covenantal, some dispensationalist, some TULIP, some Arminian, some Unitarian. Some withdraw from the world, while others are right in there pitching. Some think buttons are wrong! (Personally, I think the zipper could stand an upgrade, but I don't make a religion of it.)

So to the unregenerate D00d-in-the-street, what do you say about where he should go to find the right answer? Seriously, I won't jump on you. I want to know your thoughts.

There is no single "right answer".
