"FYI the world's fastest growing Christian body's are Protestant Evangelical and Pentacostal."

Here is some more food for thought:

America’s Protestant majority is fading, University of Chicago research shows

An invitation is not the same as a Wanted Dead or Alive poster. 'Twas my point. If the Church is the same tool of satan that many make it out to be, and Martin Luther doing the will of God, would not Martin Luther have been assassinated by a hateful and demonic Church. Does the fact that Martin Luther led a luxurious and privileged life, with his position at the University bought and paid for by the Church that he reviled, without fears of assassination or other retribution not strike you as being at odds to what most Protestants believe about this part of history?

FANTASY HISTORY! Remember Jan Hus.

Facing death? What Inquisitional Tribunal did he face? What death did he face? Answer: none. He lived his life in wealth and privilege and died a natural death, untried and unmolested by the Church. The only death he faced was his natural one. Not affected by the Church whatsoever. He turned out to be a pawn in the game of international politics, but a well paid one. Conservative? More like a man whose enterprise was bought out by bigger forces because they could use him and his enterprise to their better use.

Why do RC's continually lie about Luther? It's usually that he was crazy, but now its he just wanted an easy wealthy life.

He was lucky, unlike the martyrs at the st. Bartholomew's day massacre.

One more stab at it. If you wanted to become a Catholic in 1953 you would not have to give assent to the idea that Mary was immaculately conceived. But now, when we instruct people who want to come into full communion, we try to lay out both the big Marian Dogmata, to explain them, to say why we think they are worthy of belief. And we say if you cannot assent to this, you really shouldn't be coming into full communion.

Unless you are in a coma on your deathbed with no witnesses present.

growing from 10 to 15 attendees doesn't really mean a 50% growth rate.

Then what is it in Catholic math? 10%? 0%?

Great post, and I couldn't agree more!

building an entire religious system on the Word of God and Tradition of men being equal. The very same problem Israel had. They were blinded and set aside by Acts 28, until the fulness of the Gentiles be brought in. God is not through with the nation Israel, obviously, but they have been temporarily blinded.

Same old Tradition, different face.

You don't know how right you are... Christ said He will not be back until Israel says (as a nation) "Blessed is He who comes in the name of YHWH!"

...AND... Their !!!TRADITION!!! prevents them from uttering His Name!

Nicolaitan=Conquer Laity=Babylon=Confusion.

It is way past time to strip off traditions (no matter which ox gets gored) and get back to the simple message of the Gospel... And begin following the Word of God.

Taken from the article...

This fact, dear reader, is presented clearly to you in the Bible. Acceptance of it is now commanded by God, “...Repent ye, and believe the gospel” (Mark 1:15).

The most difficult repentance for us dyed-in-the-wool Catholics is changing our mind from thoughts of “meriting,” “earning,” “being good enough,” simply to accepting with empty hands the gift of righteousness in Christ Jesus.

To refuse to accept what God commands is the same sin as that of the religious Jews of Paul’s time, “For they being ignorant of God’s righteousness, and going about to establish their own righteousness, have not submitted themselves unto the righteousness of God.” (Romans 10:3)

Repent and believe the Good News!

NATURAL LAW - tell me again about your ‘unsubstantiated rubbish’ reply when I posted TRUTH.

AMEN, roamer_1! WAY PAST TIME!

The most interesting thing is the fact that God blinded the Nation Israel. And the god of this world blinded unbelievers. I had never really noticed this before..God is going to turn His attention back to Israel and remove the veil covering their eyes and hearts, but what about that other group, that has been blinded by Satan? Interesting thought...

Keep banging your head against this wall and it is going to live a mark. Wayne lived his sin-filled life as a Presbyterian, but he found his Salvation and died a Catholic. The evidence is overwhelming and available for anyone who cares to look for it. Seriously, based upon your posting history no one is going to take your word for anything.

And the proof is right here with this signed statement. Right here.............................................................................. Oh well. Take our word for it.

Guess I’m going to have to slow down when reading some posts at my age.

" tell me again about your ‘unsubstantiated rubbish’ ...."

Its easy to tell when a posting is unsubstantiated rubbish, it begins with some anti-Catholic dufus saying "Catholics believe......". It reminds me of the fake Navy SEALs who begin their "there we were" stories with a caution that the mission was so secret the Pentagon will deny it ever happened or that they were ever a SEAL.

That type of post is a “hit and run” post, a “drive-by” post, so to speak.

We've seen hundreds of them on this thread. Words from a Catholic source taken out of context and then presented with a dubious “point” made in an attempt to discredit Catholic teaching. The poster hits, then runs, with the false conclusion having been either made or implied. In your case, it's pretty darn obvious what your post implied.

If you think I'm “reading your mind”, you're free to complain to the moderators.

Nothing personal. Your post #7034 was a “hit piece” in the sense I've enunciated above. They are very common here, but I'm not always going to let them go unanswered when I see them. Your quote by Pope John Paul that “Jesus took his human nature from Mary” was only part of the truth about her. It does not in any way disprove the truth that she is the Mother of the “Person” Jesus, Who is God. I've already explained all that in my previous post.

I quote from post #4564 by bkaycee:

First of all, it is not a claim that the Bible contains all knowledge. The Bible is not exhaustive in every detail.

Are you misquoting on purpose or just clumsy?

Have you seen your doctor lately? It's overdue.

It is way past time to strip off traditions (no matter which ox gets gored) and get back to the simple message of the Gospel... And begin following the Word of God.

Yes, the Roman church has become the Judaizers of Galations.

They have perverted the Simple Gospel of Grace into rules, regulations, rituals. They have gone back to a priesthood that sacrifices Christ endlessly inserting themselves between God and sinners, replaced circumcision with baptismal regeneration, required auricular confession to a priest for forgiveness, etc...

Even basic biblical terms have been warped.

Grace to a RC is NOT unmerited favor in most caes, but a supernatural enabling which is procured! Thus, justification is dependent upon dedication to the sacramental system to get more grace, to do more works in order to suffer less penance or spend less time in Purgatory.

Faith to a RC is NOT fully trusting in Jesus one perfect sacrifice for the payment of ones sin, but more or less a litany of what one must believe which include the ancient creeds and the more modern Roman dogma like the papacy and the Marian beliefs.

Certainly their tradition has nullified the Word of God.

The Gospel of Grace is simple 1. God is perfect and requires perfection for entry to Heaven. 2. Man is incapable of attaining entry to Heaven left to his own devices 3. Christ perfectly paid the penalty for sin on the Cross for all those who trust in Him alone.

Rom 10:8-10 8But what does it say? "THE WORD IS NEAR YOU, IN YOUR MOUTH AND IN YOUR HEART"--that is, the word of faith which we are preaching, 9 that if you confess with your mouth Jesus as Lord, and believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, you will be saved; 10 for with the heart a person believes, resulting in righteousness, and with the mouth he confesses, resulting in salvation. 11 For the Scripture says, "WHOEVER BELIEVES IN HIM WILL NOT BE DISAPPOINTED." 12 For there is no distinction between Jew and Greek; for the same Lord is Lord of all, abounding in riches for all who call on Him; 13 for "WHOEVER WILL CALL ON THE NAME OF THE LORD WILL BE SAVED."

Apparently there is no correlation between the ability to post a GIF and the ability to tell the truth. I knew an eye witness to the conversion, Fr. Robert Curtis, and know him to be a man of truth and God. The same cannot be said of you.

Proof? Heresay is proof of nothing.
