So why don’t you pray for Enoch or Elijah to intercede for you? They are there bodily because God’s Word EXPLICITY says so. Please spare me your IMPLICIT reading between the Scripture lines.

Yep, but as we know Jesus, The Living Word, is the ONLY way - the narrow gate, and only a few enter it.

We understand it

I have never heard a single one of you give a coherent, much less accurate, account of the Catholic teaching on the Eucharist, while many of the arguments you all triumphantly present as devastating refutations show only that you all don't know what it is.

No, I am saying you are wrong in your understanding of the discourse. The mystery was that ALL MEN could be saved by the grace of Jesus and not just the Jews. I imagine this particular little truth did not sit well with some of them.

Scripture says that Peter was with those who were uncircumcised, a euphemism for the Gentiles and was criticized by some for having done so. He then describes for them his vision and explains that by this vision he knows that the Gentiles are also to be given grace.

I don’t know if or how many Gentiles were saved, it doesn’t say.

I just dispute that Peter and Paul preached a different Gospel according to whether they were preaching to the Jews or the Gentiles.

There is one Jesus, one faith, one Lord, one Savior, one sacrifice for ALL and I don’t believe and do not see in your interpretation what you see and that is that PETER did not know that Jesus died for our sins.

I get a real kick out of John Hagee. Yea, I know he doesn’t like Catholicism, but he has the fire of the Lord inside him, no one can deny that.

I think that Hagee is fine example of why Jews are really really wary of Christians...

PRAISE GOD FOR HIS FAITHFULNESS . . . and for allowing us however small a part in encouraging folks toward Christ.

Then you’re not reading Acts 1-3 as they are written, but as you want them to say. That’s not my problem. That’s yours. Be happy. You know that you MUST be right. After all, ONE BILLION people couldn’t be wrong..

Evidently you have forgotten the post where I even allowed that “ACCORDING TO YOUR FAITH SO BE IT UNTO YOU”

might apply for some RC’s in that sacrement.

Interesting.

IT was a rather charitable post on the topic.

I see now that even that can count for little. Sad, that.

You know, I can hardly read that font in the first sentence of your post. Using that style is counter-productive.

We can easily pray to Enoch or Elijah to intercede for us. They are both saints in heaven. Elijah is revered as the spiritual Father and traditional founder of the Carmelite Order.

By the way, you asked for implicit Scripture on the Assumption of Mary, and I gave it to you, as per your request. Now you ask me to “spare” you and you proceed to dismiss it out-of-hand? That’s very weak.

You’re impressed with numbers, aren’t you? I was just reading about Jesus speaking of His BIG FLOCK. Oooops, that’s not right, it was His LITTLE FLOCK. But hey, don’t let that stop you on your ‘journey to salvation’. It’s a ONE BILLION strong road...so it MUST be the right one..

You claim not to know about debate. Let me lay some Zen on you: The best way to debate is not to debate. Just try really really hard to tell the truth. That's quite demanding enough for most of us. Oh, also pray for the grace to prefer losing to the truth above winning.

Why did the RCC wait more than 1,500 years to close their canon? It was not closed before this point.

I keep promising myself to program a macro key for this answer: Councils and popes generally are re-active. They don't declare, define, and anathematize until something is excessively controversial.

There was no serious need, before Luther, to 'close the canon' on the OT. And just as the development, maybe even the idea of an NT canon arose (as I am told) in response to Marcion's proposing his own, so the OT canon was closed in response to Luther proposing his own.

HOW do you get to this point? To whom I pray and how and why is not a part of this discussion.

ONCE AGAIN jump to something else, throw a bomb then duck and run. PITIFUL attempt to dodge rather than man up and admit the inability to argue a validly challenged point YOU made.

Some here may buy it and offer you kudos magnified to the extreme font degree and in wonderfully glorious color , but I see it for what it is and I am not impressed by it nor do I care to continue with it.

I have offered you honest debate, within the parameters you set, using Scripture as best I understand it. Since the same courtesy and respect is not granted me, I will have to stop here.

How do you program macro keys in win7?

Been threatening to learn that for years.

But of COURSE he is. It's just never-ending.

How many non-Catholics fought at Lepanto or drove the Muslims from the walls of Vienna?
