How about indicating what denomination you belong to? Hmm? Or are you afeard to?

Absolutely!
James Kavanaugh was a former priest who wrote the bestselling “A Modern Priest Looks at his Outdated Church” in the 1960’s. On his deathbed earlier this year, he reportedly asked for the last rites of the Church and received the Apostolic Pardon.

Very kindly put.
They refuse to answer that question.
We have a number of armchair theologians of the Church-From-My-Recliner-in-the-Den denominations, Congregation of 1.
And that is why you are a failed Catholic.
You know, the contempt you display towards non-Catholics and those you disparagingly call *failed Catholics* does nothing to convince anyone to come to the Catholic Church or come back to the Catholic church.
On the contrary, all it does, especially for those of us who have left, is show us that nothing has changed about it and reinforce our decision to leave in the first place.
Look at my tag line.
May God’s Word reveal the truth of His message to us. May He guide us into the saving knowledge of His grace, freely given to all who would believe. May the finished work of Christ be clearly understood by those who would add to that work and diminish the glory that is rightfully His. May those who walk in darkness be shown the glorious light of the Gospel. To all who are willing.
In the gospels, Jesus said He is the Bread of Life, the gate to the sheepfold, and the true vine.
Does that mean he is green and leafy? Or made of wood? Or soft and crusty and puffy?
I belong to the Church the Body of Christ. Where "There is one body, and one Spirit, even as ye are called in one hope of your calling. One Lord, one faith, one baptism, one God and Father of all, who is above all, and through all, and in you all." (Eph. 4:4-6).
You make it sound so simple...Your popes embrace Izlam while rejecting Protestantism, any branch...YOu teach that you can not get to God except thru Mary...
You guys dump the Vatican and we can start on some sort of unity...You'd be more than welcome in Biblical Christianity...
Go back and read my post. I agreed with you.
Good grief. You even use prayer to sling mud.
A typical response, but you will note that my sources are varied, and Catholic sites themselves quote them, and overall evidence an overall consensus, and i have yet to find any like stats which show anything close to the opposite of. If you have nay let me know.
Who ordained the minister of “ Church the Body of Christ “ you claim to belong to? What is the address of this wonderful church that so teaches you well? Maybe a phone number? What are you afraid of?
Thanks much.
I really don’t have much to say other than it’s a Protestant organization.
I’d rather use Diocesan information to get a complete picture.
Our popes do not "embrace Islam". But neither to we misrepresent it. Islam understands itself to be one of the Abrahamic faiths, like Judeism and Christianity. As such, it encompasses a degree of Divine Revelation. It's probably best understood, as Hillaire Beloc wrote, as a Christian heresy. While Muslims are not Trinitarian (Jews aren't either), and do not accept the divinity of Christ, they nevertheless honor Him as a prophet and revere His mother. We recognize the partial truths which exist within Islam, and pray for the Muslims' conversion.
Neither do we totally reject Protestantism. We have a common core of beliefs, and those we honor. We understand Protestantism to be incomplete, and in some ways in error. The Council of Trent explained why we cannot accept Protestant distinctives. We invited Protestant representatives to make their case at that Council, but they didn't show. Some did attend the Second Vatican Council, however. Unfortunately, as Protestantism has played itself out in practice, sola scriptura has led to schism after schism, weakening the Church as a whole, and setting the stage first for the destruction of Christendom as a political entity, then the general decline of Christianity as a social phenomenon. As a result, we currently face governments that are incapable of moral reasoning, and are increasing rejecting any concept of normative morality. This will lead to tyranny.
We do not teach that "you can not get to God except thru Mary". The concept of the role of Mary in salvation history is complicated, and one we share with the Holy Orthodox, but it too has been explained many times on this forum. If you wish to discuss that topic in a spirit of charity, its possible to take that up again, but your past posting history suggests that it would be a futile discussion.
I'm not asking you or anyone to become Catholic. I'm certanly not going to become Protestant, as I find the various strains bewildering, and the arguments for them unconvincing. But unless we put the swords down, and stop refighting the Thirty Years War, all we'll accomplish on this forum is a neverending bashfest.
And of course, since nuns are not ordained preachers like the Dominican friars, they live contemplatively. The usual term for such a building is a convent but it has become more common recently to call convents monasteries.
However, friars do not live contemplatively as monks do, spending all their time on monastery property solely in the company of other vowed religious. They spend their days in the world doing the work of their order. In the case of the Dominicans this means teaching and preaching in schools and churches and universities.
Reading the Dominican rule of life and comparing it to the Benedictine rule would illustrate the difference between a friar and a monk.
Are you serious? lol! I am going to save this post as a reminder of just how much SCRIPTURE and Bible knowledge you do not possess. Who ordained the minister of the "Church the Body of Christ? And the phone number?? lol!
