The only way to save the youth in this Country is to teach the truth, without fear. Some things are by their very nature, WRONG! These kids are being taught to never take a stand. Everything is right, everyone wins, no one should ever suffer.
University of Illnois mindbots!
I was fortunate to have excellent protestant history professors who were unequivocally clear on this topic.
I’ll be the first to say that we need more practicing christian professors.
What I don’t understand is why someone would fire a professor of Catholic studies for teaching Catholic studies.
What I dont understand is how someone can rationalize firing a professor of Catholic studies for teaching Catholic studies.
Why they did it is obvious. It wasn't politically correct.
bookmark.
Why they did it is obvious. It wasn't politically correct.Indeed! A strong pro-life Catholic student at UIllinois (who at 21 probably knows more about the Catholic Church than I do at 60) told me about this a few days ago, and when I questioned him as to whether he had this instructor and if he was a solid teacher or not, he said, "Yes, I had him as an instructor. He was absolutely awesome."
When you see a story like this, just ask what would happen if a moslem teacher did the the same thing rearding moslem beliefs.
When you see a story like this, just ask what would happen if a moslem teacher did the the same thing rearding moslem beliefs.Ain't that the truth!?
They want a professor to teach contrary to what the pope teaches.
If you're not prepared to learn about what the Catholic Church teaches, don't take a course on the Catholic Church and complain about what you hear.
Correct...I think a legal fund should be set up for this guy to sue the university! But could he get a fair hearing in Illnois??? For that matter in most courts. Obama was right about something this country needs change...Quick.
Thanks for the link. Did you listen to it? I’m hearing “challenged,” and there are no lips to read ...
"The student complaint came in a May 13 e-mail to Robert McKim, head of the religion department. The author of the e-mail said he was writing on behalf of a friend a student in Howell's class, who wanted to remain anonymous. The e-mail complained about Howell's statements about homosexuality, which the student called "hate speech.""Teaching a student about the tenets of a religion is one thing," the student wrote in the e-mail. "Declaring that homosexual acts violate the natural laws of man is another. The courses at this institution should be geared to contribute to the public discourse and promote independent thought; not limit one's worldview and ostracize people of a certain sexual orientation."
When is his attorney going to discover the balls to sue the student in absentia? Sue the school to reveal the name, and then sue the student.
If it's true that an adjunct lecturer serves at the pleasure of the University, then I wonder whether there is a cause? There's clearly a double standard at play here. And it certainly makes the U of I look ridiculous to any clear thinking individual.
I suspect that the mohammedan teacher would probably shout “allah akbar!!!!!”, and behead anyone who disagreed with him.
But that’s just me ...
