I’m not sure what’s the point of the copy & paste you provided above (since I can only find it on Xtian websites). Is it since you cannot read/understand hebrew, you do not get the real/full meaning of a passage/text through a Xtian bible?
I want to thank you and jjotto for attempting the impossible: Enlightening our non-hebrew-reading audience to what our Torah really says.
B’H
I did NOT copy or paste anything, what I did as I referenced typed from the APPENDIX 30 of my Companion Bible, as to what the Massorah is. I do not know what Xtian means. What I have discovered is many of the things told me the Bible literally says from my childhood is NOT what was Written by the flesh hand elected to pen the WORD.
There is nothing in the text that the Massorah can lock in to claim that the Man/Angel that Jacob contended with was Esau's guardian angel. It was not Jacob that had murder in his heart for Esau, it was Esau that had murder in his heart for Jacob. Very strange notion to claim Esau was privy to a guardian angel given the whole story.
I welcome learning EXACTLY what the HEBREW says, and to observe down through the 'days' of time how the original message and intent got massaged to where the Christian reader is handicapped from having and getting the full measure of what was Written. But as it is Written these things need be for a short span of time.
Anyone who had their name on this thread was pinged.
You are describing the Masoretic text, not the Mesorah.
Hint: Torah and Mesorah share the same root word.
Until you pinged me, I had never even heard of this thread before.
