Kinkade's paintings have sold extremely well IN HIS LIFETIME ( as Opposed to Van Gogh who sold almost nothing in his life time ). Wonder how much Kinkades' works will be worth after he dies...

His original work may be worth something. Everything else will be worth a big fat zero, because he's oversaturated his own market.

It matters not, from an investment standpoint, that Kinkade has received his "earthly reward", and Van Gogh never did. But let's look at Van Gogh. He left 900 paintings, 150 watercolors, and about 1200 drawings behind him when he committed suicide. That's a total worldwide supply of only 2250 unique works of art---a far lower number than can be had in just ONE of Thomas Kinkade's "Limitless Editions" of one image. One of two things will have to happen before the "Limitless Editions" will increase in value---either 3/4 of the supply will have to disappear, or the world's population will have to quadruple.
