Oh my gosh! These are Mormon Temples? There design is certainly ‘Islamic’ architectural motif.....wow...once again what an eye opener!.... Minarets have a very specific purpose in their structure and placement in the islamic culture....which mormons certainly understand or they would not have designed these as so.....really these are chilling to say the least.

I think if you read the Book of Mormon you would find quite the opposite — Jesus Christ is mentioned constantly. The whole purpose of the book is to persuade people to believe in Christ repent of their sins and to follow Him.

For example, the book teaches that Christ is the creator of all things, and testifies of his divinity, of His virgin birth, His miracles, His sufferings, death and resurrection and second coming.

It is a companion volume to the Bible and helps clear up some of the confusion that exists in the Christian world regarding points of doctrine.

Anyone would read your post and wonder how could anyone willingly subject themselves to these rituals! But as with cults by the time these rituals are introduced the critical thinking abilities are pretty much mush or they didn't have it to begin with

Our hope is to rip the top off of this cult so people will not get sucked in by the pretty commercials.

And our prayer is that those already enmeshed will break the chains and escape.

When one is in state of apostasy they convince themselves the Lord’s Church is a ball and chain......Remaining in sin is the ball and chain making allowances for one’s pride not striving to learn how to do the Lord’s will.

This is a tactic many cults use to keep people trapped in their organizations or churches....it's a form of reverse psycological manipulation to blame an individual who is most likely in a place of questioning or doubting the false teachings which they are hearing.....it breeds fear...and fear has torment. When an individual hears this type of answer to their sincere questions or doubts...it is a sure sign that God is trying to get you to wake up and the forces that be are attempting to keep you in bondage to their church or organization.

It’s a hollow victory unless we can lead Sandy and Resty to the truth, not just send them slinking.

No, I will hit the abuse button whenever puny mortal holier-than-thou know-it-alls have the nerve to act for God Almighty and condemn another person, or group of persons, to hell. Being so pompous as to actually think you know who is going to hell (me) and who is not going to hell (you) is creepy, disgusting, ugly, mean spirited, and non-Christian (to say the least).

Security of the believer isn’t ‘boogie man stuff’ or of the world.

it is biblical

Resty, if you die today, do you KNOW you are going to make it back to God the Father in the CK?

Are you sure?

Because I know if I die (and I am MUCH younger than you are) that I am going to spend eternity with God the Father, God the Son, and God the Holy Ghost.

One of the biggest characteristics of a pseudo Christian cult is the removal of the focus of the sacrifice on the Cross.

They shift or play it down.

For the LDS it is the Garden. And that is where He REALLY suffered and that the ‘atonement’ was a process (from sin bearing to death) but that He already bore our sins in the Garden, which is in DIRECT contradiction to Scripture. When I was LDS the cross was just seen as an instrument of death where Christ ‘finished’ the atonement by dying so all men COULD be saved (resurrected) or saved (exalted) by obedience to the laws and ordinances of the LDS gospel.

1 Peter 2:24 - He himself bore our sins in his body on the tree, so that we might die to sins and live for righteousness; by his wounds you have been healed.

That quote from Smith which he claimed occurred in his encounter...is sometimes referred to as “Serpent talk” by any who have the spirit of Christ within them to discern such language..... Which lends me to say that what ever he conjured in his mind and/or actually believed that he saw, was certainly not of God nor did he have the spirit of Christ who would have never accepted that language...Smith did so and in doing that revealed the state of his own fallen condition. He got hooked by believing the “teachings” of demons and thereafter built his following around this experience.

It is very dangerous for anyone to rest their faith in what they feel or the experiences they encounter from the spiritual realm... no matter how strong they are.....they must be examined according to Gods word and even then they are quite often occurring from other reasons than an actual encounter. Jesus many times has warned us that even in these last days to expect teachings of demons and Antichrist's who will promote them....we are warned and warned not to heed these......

We do walk by faith and not sight, for the world today has many ways of deceiving ones mind to believe what is not real....as Christians we need to remmeber that these will grow more prevelant even to that of attempting to deceive the elite in order to cause us to be uneffective for the Lord.

A few already have and one used a holy roller exorcism to call out the demons!

So, resty that appears to be posted with a tone of disdain ("a holy roller exorcism to call out the demons!") and taken as an insult!

So why is there an article on "Casting out Satan" at a mormon website dedicated to "temple study"?

Leave it to the mormon church to claim a "superior" way to "cast out demons"...from

"Casting out Satan at Temple Study.com

In Christianity, Exorcisms are performed using the “power of Christ” or “In the name of Jesus.” . . .

According to the Catholic Encyclopedia article on Exorcism: Jesus cast out demons as a sign of his Messiahship and empowered his disciples to do the same.

The Jewish Encyclopedia article on Jesus stated that Jesus “was devoted especially to casting out demons” and also believed that he passed this on to his followers, however he was superior to them in the Exorcisms.

One interesting non-Christian associated example of a similar pattern that I’ve written about before comes from a Buddhist legend, and incorporates the use of a hand gesture called the Abhaya mudra, which is essentially a raised right hand:

Devadatta, a cousin of the Buddha, through jealousy caused a schism to be caused among the disciples of Buddha. As Devadatta's pride increased, he attempted to murder the Buddha. One of his schemes involved loosing a rampaging elephant into the Buddha's path. But as the elephant approached him, Buddha displayed the Abhaya mudra, which immediately calmed the animal.2

I believe these things have descended from teachings given to Adam and Eve, which have spread into many cultures and traditions throughout the world, and that the Latter-day Saints today are taught the true form of casting out devils in the House of the Lord, as well as having the priesthood authority from God to do so.

Wonderful motives TM4....I see that throughout this thread. I realize some mormons have a difficult time accepting some of the posts as being harsh and or combative...but they need to understand there is a war for their very souls... and it does seem in order to get thru the “fog” they are in requires a shaking of the stronghold that keeps them in locked into the bondage they are in.

When God starts to plow up a field of dry and rock solid ground there's going to be dust and dirt flying before the seeds can be planted and watered. Strongholds are called that for a reason. They are resistant to Gods plow and oftentimes the ground needs plowing more than once. Additionally weeds can have deep roots which need to be pulled up.....and exposed... so they can be destroyed.

This work you folks do will reap fruit I have no doubt. And may God keep you all in good form to continue to this good work on His behalf.

Resty, the Lord’s church is NOT a ball and chain. Mormonism IS a ball and chain, one that will drag you to Hell unless you let Christ break those chains.

“Amazing Grace (My Chains Are Gone)”

Amazing grace
How sweet the sound
That saved a wretch like me
I once was lost, but now I’m found
Was blind, but now I see

My chains are gone
I’ve been set free
My God, my Savior has ransomed me
And like a flood His mercy rains
Unending love, Amazing grace

‘Twas grace that taught my heart to fear
And grace my fears relieved
How precious did that grace appear
The hour I first believed

My chains are gone
I’ve been set free
My God, my Savior has ransomed me
And like a flood His mercy rains
Unending love, Amazing grace

The Lord has promised good to me
His word my hope secures
He will my shield and portion be
As long as life endures

My chains are gone
I’ve been set free
My God, my Savior has ransomed me
And like a flood His mercy rains
Unending love, Amazing grace

The earth shall soon dissolve like snow
The sun forbear to shine
But God, Who called me here below
Will be forever mine
Will be forever mine
You are forever mine

To many who are lost things seem incomprehensible, or hard to receive even when it is spelled out!

When one is behaving less then they should it might seem that way

When one is not living according the the covenant they made with the Lord

**

(which is not true the other does not hold that view)

Saying others hold a supperior view it is not true

**

and that feeling for most folks that washes over them it is the Holy Ghost reminding one they did error!

I seems by the conversation and action many of us have witness, many of you anti’s have become numb to those promptings of the Holy Ghost

***

Resty, for Pete’s sake. “Pimp” has become a modern day internet word which means to promote your own product or writings on a forum.

Resty, come into the 21st century. Pimping is not potty language. And it is an apt term.

Pimp is now a filthy word? Good grief Charlie Brown.

ETC.....

Just shows how so many here their spiritual meter is numb or broken towards the word and how words have become increasingly diluted in a fallen world!

If you were one with the Father and Son you would not defend wickedness and have the discernment of the Holy Ghost to know when the world says good is evil and evil is good!

We are told be “in the world but not of the world...

John 17

14 I have given them thy word; and the world hath hated them, because they are not of the world, even as I am not of the world.

15 I pray not that thou shouldest take them out of the world, but that thou shouldest keep them from the evil.

16 They are not of the world, even as I am not of the world.

17 Sanctify them through thy truth: thy word is truth.

18 As thou hast sent me into the world, even so have I also sent them into the world.

19 And for their sakes I sanctify myself, that they also might be sanctified through the truth.

20 Neither pray I for these alone, but for them also which shall believe on me through their word;

21 That they all may be one; as thou, Father, art in me, and I in thee, that they also may be one in us: that the world may believe that thou hast sent me.

22 And the glory which thou gavest me I have given them; that they may be one, even as we are one:

23 I in them, and thou in me, that they may be made perfect in one; and that the world may know that thou hast sent me, and hast loved them, as thou hast loved me.

24 Father, I will that they also, whom thou hast given me, be with me where I am; that they may behold my glory, which thou hast given me: for thou lovedst me before the foundation of the world.

25 O righteous Father, the world hath not known thee: but I have known thee, and these have known that thou hast sent me.

26 And I have declared unto them thy name, and will declare it: that the love wherewith thou hast loved me may be in them, and I in them.

Jesus said be in world not of the world
