You mean you never used a Ouija board to convince a girl that the right answer was “YES”? Jeez ;)

It's a pipe right back into your own imagination. Like self-imposed hypnosis, it only works if you believe it does.

Unfortunately it's not the end of the story but the beginning. Giving demons a "pipe into your imagination" is not advisable and any hypnosis opens a gateway for demons to enter. I disagree with a lot of Catholicism but they sure got this one right.

Like everything that’s out there.......some are ignorant of satans devices....other’s know fully well to stay away....then there are those who play on the fringe’s, these are the ones who get hooked with time and tide and never quite understand how that happened.

I managed to get “in the habit” of using a Ouija board years ago. The darn thing became stronger the more I used it. It wasn’t too long before I could make the thing move quite effortlessly by myself.. It hated my husband and adored me.At first I treated it as a game ,but after having used it for a while,it became pretty apparent who was using whom. Finally had friends who refused to visit ,if we were going to bring it out. They saw first hand ,some of the really malevolent things that began happening in our home. Never again. You can chose to believe in them or not. But I will never ,in ignorance bring one into my home again. They are not toys and should not be sold as such.

I've read plenty of Xena's posts. I don't think she swings that way...

If your faith is strong, why are you worried about demons?

If these things worked anywhere near the way you are implying, we'd be up to your necks in Anti-Christs and Demon-spawn.

I’m not surprised toy stores sell these now.

Now? I'm 47 and remember them in the toy department at Sears back in the 70s.

“But I will never ,in ignorance bring one into my home again.”

Scrabble pieces and a drinking glass work just as well.

Very well stated. It manipulates. Young children have absolute no business with one. For that fact no one does. So easy to be mislead and accept things into your lives that you are not equipped to handle . To those who laugh it off as a toy, that’s foolish. Unless you have ever been pulled into the New Age garbage, you haven’t a clue.

And this has what to do with Satan and Ouija boards? Are all of these women using Ouija boards to get pregnant out of wedlock? Statistics and statisticians can be very much like soothsayers; they gaze into the crystal ball and tell you what they think they see or what they want to see.

As far as the water goes, the “statistics”, taking into account all of the unreported and under-reported unwed births were likely not much different in 1950 than today. The difference is back then the reporting and collection of this data was pretty patchy and attitudes and mores of the time meant that many of these births were quietly handled by private institutions and agencies with little or no actual reporting. The young ladies were quickly sent to live with a distant “aunt” or went on an extended vacation.

“It's a pipe right back into your own imagination. Like self-imposed hypnosis, it only works if you believe it does.
That is all. Period. End of story.”

LOL... The head in the sand trick does not stop the truck from running over you!

I have worked with people for about twenty years, cleaning up the messes they created with boards. Although it is funny in the movie “Ghost,” with Whoopie Goldberg and Patrick Swazie, where she is a medium and the spirits that want to communicate through her move in and take over her body, that is exactly what happens.

I've used hypnosis on people and communicated with the spirits that moved in during the ouija experience. Usually they are just misguided and want to talk with a loved one or get a message through, but sometimes they are downright nasty and evil. They take over the person's voice and talk using it. It gets interesting sometimes... If people only knew that the painful memories of the physical death and emotional experienced during the the spirit losing it's physical body, manifest in the host when the get in, they would not leave themselves vulnerable.

I've had experiences that would make Steven King's books seem like grade school texts in comparison. I've had spirits show up, posing as deceased grandparents or loved ones, only to find that with a little light being shined upon them their eyes turned from blue to black and then to red as their true nature came out.

Funny thing, the greatest power of darkness is its influence during the time period where the host denies their existence.

It would take an Aggie to be unclear on this.

"It's my belief that you will end up feedbacking on your own imagination"

It's probably similar to 'synchronicity'. I've never worked a Ouija board, but I imagine that most of the time it spells out silly stuff. When something intelligible finally comes out, then the person gives it a special significance.

Just like with 'synchronicity' where a person remembers the times that he hears the same number or word twice in the same day, not considering the shear quantity of numbers and words he is exposed to in a single day.

I think we should outlaw Magic 8 Balls while we’re at it. Clearly the Devil’s work.

I asked the Magic 8 ball if it was an instrument of the devil and it said to ask again later.

“This happens mostly to people who are extremely susceptible to suggestion in the first place. Like Democrats...”

Sad but true. My specialty in research is mind control techniques. It is so easy to guide a person into a trance and have them lose their ability to discern truth from non truth. Even the logical skeptical ones if you know how to do it. You merely cause them to focus inward with their defenses rather than allow them to focus on you.

This is why people were fainting at O’Bummer’s political rallies. Talk about hyper suggestible people.
