But along with the Nestorians, and the Apostle Paul, I believe all things written in the scriptures

You call us heretics now, you called us heretics then...So what's new???

You may or may not be aware of this, Protestants also understand that Nestorianism is heresy.

I mean that NO Protestant church (Lutherans, Calvinists, Anglicans or Baptists) have EVER declared that Nestorianism is not heretical. I have to ask, do you actually understand what Nestorianism is?

ABSOLUTELY INDEED.

However, as we’ve seen

lots of Roman Catholics et al hereon seem to consider the Bible and it’s facts to be of little import

compared to

!!!!TRADITION!!!!

and magicsterical ordered/sanctioned ritual, custom, fantasies etc.

Lots of Christians realize that fantasy does

NOT

equal reality

and certainly not Biblical reality.

Eternal life in Heaven is a "fantasy"?

INDEED.

IT’s also fascinating how loudly they scream about claiming that we put words in their fingers and lay on them beliefs they don’t have

yet

how eagerly and outrageously they do exactly that toward us.

Amazing.

I wonder what white hanky that dogma was delivered on.

I believe there is a process of disaffiliation. Other Catholic freepers have said so, anyway.

I don’t claim comprehensive knowledge of anything, except possibly my own profession.

I am not a failed Catholic. That’s a hostile phrases that Catholics here love to use for those who are no longer drinking the Kool Aid. You could also call me a failed elementary school student, a failed middle school student, a failed Democrat, etc. I have simply gone on to better things.

As for the statement that walking away from something proves you don’t understand it, that only works if you are using the failed logic of infallibility (loosely applied). It is circular reasoning to assert that because the Catholic Church is the only correct church, then those who do not believe all of it must be wrong. It’s exactly your first premise that people are questioning.

I understand and forgive your hostility in calling me a failed Catholic. I realize that you cannot stick to the issue here and must regress to insults.

On earth we should all be working on holiness.. a saint in progress...at death the moment of our judgement we will be what we are at the sight of God. Maybe a saint...maybe not.

Mk 12: [27]  He is not the God of the dead, but the God of the living: ye therefore do greatly err.

Have the anti-Catholics also redacted the Transfiguration from their Bibles, it seems that this would be necessary to say that the saints in Heaven are dead.

What a boringly familiar straw dog.

That's a funny way to describe "irrefutable."

It appears that a refresher course in the obvious is necessary for some of the more rabid cliques who seem to enjoy parading around absurdly with their heads in buckets of sand.

Prottys . . . somewhat as slow learners, it seems, persist in noting that Scripture prohibits talking to the dead; no where encourages or even per se allows for prayers to the dead etc. etc. etc.

To which, the Roman Catholic et al ABSURD TO THE MAX responses typically are--

OHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH BUT THE SAINTS IN HEAVEN AREN'T DEAD!

One would think that this absurd verbal dance would get sooooo exceedingly tiresome that neither side would play their half.

PROTTYS, for their part, could scuttle the absurd-to-the-max inane little dance by referring to such Believers as GRADUATED BELIEVERS.

Roman Catholics et al, for their part, could scuttle the absurd-to-the-max inane little dance by responding to the obvious meaning the Prottys intend.

No one is fooled. No lurkers are fooled. No one, I hope, who has sufficient synapses between their ears to logon to FR has the slightest doubt about saints in heaven being alive in Christ.

Certainly the Roman Catholics et al seem to MOST delight in being the MOST ABSURD about the whole thing. So, I assume that as long as the Prottys give the Papists the least excuse to be absurd, the Vatican reps will continue doing so at the drop of a white hanky.

Perhaps it is worth noting . . . That Scripture refers to Christians as dead in Christ--meaning they are dead to this life, having died in Christ and are alive with Him in Paradise--as He promised the thief on The Cross.

So, in a sense, the Roman Catholics et al are YET AGAIN TRASHING SCRIPTURE when they !!!!DEMAND!!!! a different terminology.

No surprise in that, I guess. Trashing Scripture must be one of the high priority STATIONS OF THE WHITE HANKY. I wonder which rank higher for the greatest number of Papists--THE STATIONS OF THE CROSS . . . or . . . THE STATIONS OF THE WHITE HANKY???

"Have the anti-Catholics also redacted the Transfiguration from their Bibles, it seems that this would be necessary to say that the saints in Heaven are dead.

The rosary is attacked only because it it Catholic. Similar (in purpose) artifacts are extensively within the Jewish faith without criticism. Isn't a menorah a mnemonic device to organize prayer over eight days? What difference is there in theory between a rosary and a tallit or a tefillin? Why isn't a mezuzah subject of criticism. In fact isn't written scripture, prayer books and hymnals exactly the same thing as a rosary?

The answer lies in the fact that there are greater social and FR rules against the unfounded criticism or bashing of Judaism than there is against the unfounded criticism and bashing of Catholicism.

As best I can tell a number of these sects use rattlesnakes as a teaching device.
