While Mary is the first to proclaim that she is in need of Christ as a Savior (Luke 1:47), I would not say that she is just like me. I for one have not had an archangel appear to me lately and proclaim me to be full of grace, but perhaps it has happened to you. I have never heard of another Catholic having such an experience. Maybe it is common among Calvinists, though my mother, who is a convert, never mentioned it.
