In general, look, FR is an opinion forum. Being partizan is an asset. So long as here is logic and argumentation in the content, rather than I-say-so, I personally don’t care what sensibilities you bruise; I sure bruise a few.

If you abide by the decorum, which is not hard to do, I will defend your right to post what you post.

Well, if you follow the pope’s teaching, you are certainly part of the Universal Church established by Christ.

Well... if the pope's teachings are consistent with Holy Scripture, since we both agree God's word is THE final authority, we follow Christ. This is the universal church established by Christ (no real need for capital letters), a spiritual body where Jesus Christ is the head and Good Shepherd.

As far as what the Bible doesn't "specifically address", I believe they are not the critical doctrines that pertain to what one must know to have eternal life. That is something God most definitely covered the bases on. The other areas are covered just maybe not in quite the same specific way, which does leave liberty in minor issues.

In major things - UNITY
In minor things - LIBERTY
In all things - LOVE

Yes you are correct.

The book “The Wisdom of the Benedictine Elders,” by Mark W. McGinnis, contains several comments from monks and nuns who felt betrayed by the Vatican II changes in the USA and were saddened by what they could see coming upon the Church.

The book consists of interviews with about 30 of the oldest Benedictine monks and nuns as they look back upon their lives.

The book is a seldom-seen look into another time.
