“By their fruits ye shall know them.”
so true not to mention their propensity for lopping off heads of those who don’t agree with them/submit
No doubt what the religion/political system is.

That said we have a our own political leader paving the way whose middle name bears it’s mark. I would not be surprised though to see a religious leader bearing the same mark (so called convert ) coming out of Rome and also being politically correct chosen.

I can’t remember where I have read it but they say the gates of hell are in modern day Turkey. And our own political leader visited the site.

People forget that the Old Roman empire was not just Europe but parts of Africa and the middle east

the first beast is the antichrist. (rev 13:1-10)

the second beast is the false prophet. (rev 13:11-18)

both are filled with the devil.

they work in concert from the city of seven hills.

The old Roman empire had a western leg(old europe) and an eastern leg (predominately islamic countries now surrounding Israel). After Rome fell, Constantinople, capitol of the eastern leg continued to rule for close to a thousand more years.

IMO, we've been taught most of our lives to look for the revived roman Empire from the western leg. All the while, the eastern (Islamic) leg is gaining more and more strength and pressure against Israel. Current events do not point towards western Europe doing much of anything prophesied in the end days, but the eastern leg of Islamic nations fit the pattern to a tee.

For more info see The Islamic Antichrist by Joel Richardson . It will challenge what Christians have been taught about western Europe revived roman empire end time events.

perdition is not a ‘who’.

perdition is hell.

A new thought is that those prophecies refer to a muslim kingdom and that the “12th Imam” they are expecting will be the Antichrist.

Don't need a new thought when you've got the old bible...

Izlam doesn't fit...The Mother of Harlots is a city...It's also a religion...Seven hills are connected with it...It has colors, purple and scarlet...It's noted for a symbol of a golden cup...

None of these are connected with Izlam...

http://www.sundayszaman.com/sunday/detaylar.do?load=detay&link=191646 Kanlıdivane and the gates of hell Although Kanlıdivane is often described as a town, the impression actually given by the site is of an enormous shrine -- something like Lourdes, perhaps -- that survived from pagan times into those of early Christianity. Right beside the parking lot and looming over the chasm stands a three-story Hellenistic tower. Wow! Sometimes even a travel writer stumbles upon a place so extraordinary that no words seem adequate to evoke that first punch-in-the-stomach impression of wonder. Such a place is the curiously undiscovered Kanlıdivane, midway between Erdemli and Kızkalesi on the eastern Mediterranean coast, where a collection of early Byzantine basilicas cluster together around an enormous tree-filled chasm that must surely have seemed to the ancients like the very gates of hell. According to most commentators, Kanlıdivane means “Place of Blood” or even “Bloody Place of Madness,” and the locals are only too keen to explain how wrongdoers used to be hurled to their deaths in the chasm where wild animals waited to devour them. In reality, the name is probably just a corruption of the ancient Carytelis via the intermediary Kanıdeli, but the sheer isolation of the site and the crowding together of the monuments here makes it immediately obvious that this was somewhere of huge religious significance, more so even than the similar and certainly much better known site of Cennet Cehennem (Heaven and Hell) not so very far away along the coast to the west. Otherwise the only place even vaguely reminiscent of Kanlıdivane is Binbirkilise (1001 Churches) near Karaman, and of course that lacks the added attraction of the crater-like hole.

Where did Christ live and die? And where is it that it is said that our Lord and Savior will return? That is where the pretender is going to set up shop.

According to some, Jesus identified the AntiChrist.

Since America was 'discovered' by Europeans and is in fact, Judeo-Christian and predominately Western European in culture, many consider it part of what the Bible called "Rome".
