i don’t know why at times bor tries to upstage his friends like he did with palin.
i wonder if he’s afraid of the fairness doctrine coming into be and wants to appear centrist tho advertises himself as otherwise. am confused.
I thought O’Reilly did an excellent interview with Palin. He leaned forward, he was totally engaged, he was friendly, and he clearly explained everything he was looking for. He even tossed out some ideas.
I think she responded well. I do think she seems like a regular person, someone’s hockey mom. The topics were general interest last night. I think they’re supposed to get wonkish tonight.
Remembering the Charlie Gibson interview, I had to scratch my head to remember again what the “Bush doctrine” is. Oh yeah...pre-emption or something like that. In retrospect, that really was obscure.
I don’t buy Palin’s reason for not mentioning what she reads. I also think she reads. She could say National Enquirer for all I care.
But, I think she should have stuck with her original answer. “I read all kinds of things.” or something like that. It was a more than adequate answer to a weak question.
I didn’t see any animosity in her at all in the clip when the question was asked, so I just don’t buy that the question hacked her off.
I’d be more inclined to believe her saying. “It was a gotcha question from Couric, and I just missed it. It went right over my head. So, I answered a broad, weak question with a broad answer.”
One further thing: lose the glistening red lipstick. Red’s fine, but I always think (on any woman) that the high glisten lipstick in any color looks like they got a little piece of spit on their lip.
She’s the Religion editor for the Washington Compost.
She’e also an atheist.
Why was O’Reilly questioning Quinn on Palin’s faith??
Well that makes sense...LOL
