My wife and I made the trip in 1998 and it was the best trip I have ever taken. We were fortunate enough to have a travel guide who had a Masters in Italian Art. In Rome, Florence and Venice we were mesmorized by his descriptions. This website brings back memories but nothing can compare with standing directly in front of the Pieta. I stood there for the better part of 45 minutes. Not to mention the Sistine Chapel. Thanks for the memories.
Remarkable. I have been there, but that was some time ago, and it’s wonderful to see it again this way.
You may want to book this right away. They only take a few people a day.
You can look up and down too, and zoom in on the tiniest details. I took a peek into one of the gift shops there. And looking up, zooming in, all the artwork is on your screen.
Ok, yeah, that is pretty cool.
But I need to know WHAT I am looking at.
But how many more could they feed by selling this art? Not trying to be negative, just asking a question. What does the Church gain by keeping this art. Mother Teresa could have used the moneys gained by the sale of these items much more then the Vatican can benefit keeping them.
Absolutely OUT OF SIGHT ... Thanks for posting ... I’m feeling a little woozy though ... :)

Does the Church own it?
God deserves to be worshiped in this way. By people that were created in his image, and thus can create great beauty that you are witnessing.
thanks for the link.
Marking for later.
Thanks for posting!
Seems to be in their possession.
Doesnt seem to answer my question.
Obviously, you are being negative. On purpose. Don’t you like Catholics or is it just the Christian God you have a problem with?
Hey, just ask’n:)
Me too.

Thank you for posting this link. I can see what you mean about losing time looking at all the beautiful buildings.
You dance right, you dance left still no answer to my question.
