Are you saying you don’t believe me or my source? My source is impeccable. She is the wife of one of those working on it!
Now, whether it actually gets done by Christmas is another thing altogether. But we were told that the Apostolic Constitution would be out by the end of last week, and even though we are just now finding out about it, it actually was signed last week. The timetable has been accurate so far.
Where's that new (correct) translation of the Ordinary Form of the Roman Missal?
Yeah ... we're gonna get that one by Advent. Or so we keep hearing.
Advent of what year? ... now that's the question.

I think the difference here is motivation. The Bishops of the US are not motivated to have a new translation. They worked tirelessly AGAINST it - even up until the last minute. The Anglican Use people, on the other hand, are very motivated. They want to get a new Missal and a good translation, because they want an improvement on the current “Book of Divine Worship.” Plus, they were told to have it ready by Christmas, so I wouldn’t expect this group to be recalcitrant. Unlike the US Bishops, everybody is on the same team here. So, we’ll see...
