All believing Jews and Gentiles - "all one in Christ Jesus."
Apparently, for some (reading their own "rubber bible") "the dividing wall is broken down" isn't literally true.
No, I am suggesting that the answer to your question is found in the book of I Corinthians.
Precisely!
Any gathering of Christians IS the Church. They may elect their elders from their midst, and preach the Gospel as the Spirit leads them. If the Spirit IS in their midst, evident by His workings, they ARE a sanctioned Church.
Governing bodies and doctrines seem to do more to enshrine error than they do to preserve truth.
Well, I am quite convinced that the answer is found in the entire Bible, but that should come as no surprise.
Really, unless you are being purposely evasive, the expectation was that you could be a bit more precise in your thinking on these matters.
Precisely??!! Really, you guys must be using some odd dictionary to get anything precise out of any recent comments.

Did I say anything to contradict that idea?
Its possible the only thing they find the NT useful for in their rubber bible is to invent the notion of a pre-trib rapture. Otherwise they are consumed with OT types and prophecies (shadows) devoid of the NT reality, which is Christ.
Oddly enough, the book of I Corinthians is a part of the entire Bible, so it shouldn't put you off in the least!

What, you wanted me to poop out a couple of happy little verses? Read the Book. It's only 16 chapters... Maybe 20 minutes for any 9th grader. You asked for my opinion, and there, you have it.
Good Scriptures.
They have absolutely nothing to do with negating or laying aside God’s promises to the blood children of Jacob.
Nothing.
It’s sad anyone would think otherwise.
That’s absolutly wrong.
The veil in the Temple being rent has NOTHING to do with God’s everlasting promises to the children of Jacob being lain aside.
Amen, Brother.
Matt. 18:20 "For where two or three are gathered together in My name, I am there in the midst of them."
I don't see any "elite" making the determination on interpretation, or deciding who gets the "keys to the kingdom". We have been given the Holy Spirit to guide us and the "keys to the kingdom" are not membership in a church it is faith in Jesus Christ as our LORD and SAVIOUR, it is only by this faith we are saved through grace.
Thats absolutly wrong.
The veil in the Temple being rent has NOTHING to do with Gods everlasting promises to the children of Jacob being lain aside.
"Pssst. It's in Ephesians. The 'one new man' stuff."
remember that you were at that time separated from Christ, alienated from the commonwealth of Israel and strangers to the covenants of promise, having no hope and without God in the world.
13 But now in Christ Jesus you who once were far off have been brought near by the blood of Christ.
14 For he himself is our peace, who has made us both one and has broken down in his flesh the dividing wall of hostility
15 by abolishing the law of commandments and ordinances, that he might create in himself one new man in place of the two, so making peace,
16 and might reconcile us both to God in one body through the cross, thereby killing the hostility.etc.
Again . . .
has absolutely NOTHING
to do with laying aside God’s everlasting promises to the children of Jacob.
ABSOLUTELY NOTHING.
Very curious that anyone would even fantasize otherwise.
Fair enough. Call me when you want to be taken seriously.
UNMARINATED DUNDERBECK!!
The only keys of the kingdom of heaven are faith in Jesus Christ. No external church controls that faith.
ICor. 12:13 For by one Spirit we were all baptized into one body...
The head of our church is Jesus Christ. The ruler on interpretation is the Holy Spirit. Any suggestion that a local body has this type of authority takes you down the path of Roman.
God has a
VERY DIFFERENT perspective
than that of the
REPLACEMENTARIANS et al.
EVERLASGING PROMISES TO GOD = EVERLASTING PROMISES
So Peter was given control over your faith in Jesus Christ? Is that what you are saying?
17 Jesus answered and said to him, "Blessed are you, Simon Bar-Jonah, for flesh and blood has not revealed this to you, but My Father who is in heaven. 18 And I also say to you that you are Peter, and on this rock I will build My church, and the gates of Hades shall not prevail against it. 19 And I will give you the keys of the kingdom of heaven, and whatever you bind on earth will be bound in heaven, and whatever you loose on earth will be loosed in heaven." (Matt. 16)Fascinating. Talk about the best of Romanism.
