Well I don’t think the Bible is silly, and I think GOD gave us a brain to seek him out and not be lazy...So the date might be wrong, but GOD wants us to seek him out and have a hear-t to hear his Prophecy...IMHO that is....
If it happens, then they were right.
If not, they're FOS ... like dozens of their forbears.
Meantime, we must all realize that our own personal end of the the world could happen today.

Isaiah 17:1 - Woe to Damascus. It has been taken away from being a city, it has become a ruinous heap.
If a whole city is destroyed, it can only be one thing - a nuclear bomb.
The fact that Damascus is still standing tells me .. Jesus will come when the Father says it’s time to come and not one day before. I’d rather live as though He might come tomorrow and try to lead as many people as possible to Christ before then.
I’m more concerned about the evil which has come upon America and which continues to grow every day. If you want to check out some history .. you can look up all the American Presidents who did not support Israel .. and then note what happened in America as a result. It was never a good result. Obama has turned his back on Israel - and even today the Isralis protest against him.
I shall always believe that America’s surge into prosperity after WWII was a direct result of our liberation of the Jews in the death camps.

Paul also said A/C will not be revealed until the great fall away happens. I think we are seeing an apostate generation arise right now, but the righteousness of the Church will be confirmed after the coming trial.

And when all the workers of iniquity flourish,
It is that they may be destroyed forever.

God is at work right now, He will perfect a perfect government for His people. For Jesus said, the Kingdom of heaven is a merchant who is looking for a pearl of great value, when he found it, he sells all he has and bought the field. God is that merchant. He has found the great pearl, it is the Church. He has sold everything to purchase us. You will see death and decay of civilizations and nations, but the Church will live on.
We must trust Him, that is the most important preparation we can do for what is to come. In the meantime, get out of debt of all kinds, take on His yoke.

I do believe GOD is leaving it up to us when he comes back
however he does know when MAN will do that signaling his return, and we as human beings can know that season....

THE BEGINNING OF THE TRIBULATION PERIOD WILL PRECEDE THE SECOND COMING OF JESUS CHRIST BY SEVEN YEARS!We must subtract seven years from the ONE YEAR WINDOW of the Second Coming of Jesus Christ in order to calculate the ONE YEAR WINDOW for the beginning of the Tribulation period.
That would put the ONE YEAR WINDOW for the beginning of the Seven Year Tribulation Period from September 29, 2008 (Rosh Hashanah) until September 18, 2009 (Rosh Hashanah).
This stuff is as bad as Harold Camping.
Within the “Seventy ‘sevens,’” there are TWO “abomination that causes desolation.”
Maybe Obama is going to desecrate it when he turns 49 next August.
My advice, put away the so called "prophecy resources", get into your bible, and into a sound church. Get yourself well grounded in the basics. If everything goes south on us, you'll need that more than this fever dream stuff.
