OOOKay, Joya, got any ideas?
I understand, from an Arab pastor (Lebanese) that I know, that Babylon is now a resort area where people come from their country to lounge around. Remember, Hussein started working on it.
Wow, that was beautiful but scary at the same time.
YUP.
So much for the idiotic notion that not even tents have been pitched in it since ancient times.

I am sure the US military would know every inch of Babylon.
I have FINALLY been able to at least read the 50 phrase summaries that Dave Reagan wrote (I think it was in post 9 of this thread).
I used to listen to D.Reagan when he was on the radio daily, going back to the 1980s. I lost track of him for three main reasons:
(1) He switched to TV instead of staying on radio. Why is it that the teaching on Christian radio is (on the average) FAR better than Ch. teaching on TV?
(2) A few years ago, he literally savaged the book “Reign of the Servant Kings” by Jody Dillow. David Reagan evidently does not believe in eternal security or in having an assurance of salvation.
(3) He continued to hold to a belief that hell is a temporary place/location/condition. He believes the wicked and unbeliever will be annihilated at some point and will cease to exist, along with hell itself.
Although I don’t think it is a major point, I don’t believe in the pre-trib rapture, as does Reagan.
However, since I share many, many of the same overall conclusions as the pre-trib position, it is not a major disagreement. However, if someone denies the reality of the millennium, or of a future plan in God’s economy (oikonomia) for national Israel, THAT puts them much further away from myself than a pre-trib rapture believer.
Three future events that Christian believers might see before the Rapture:
(1) The Confirmation of the covenant in Danial chapter 9:27. This might be a Middle East peace agreement to share the Temple Mount between “Jews” and “Gentiles”. This would also set in motion a 3.5 year clock for the beginning of the Tribulation.
(2) The man of perdition revealing himself in the temple (2 Thess 2:3-4). A related event to item number 1. Of course, this event would occur 3.5 yearas before the return of Jesus.
(3) The 1/3 war to kill one-third of mankind, Rev 9:15. I don’t know exactly where in the sequence of events that this would occur, but it seems like it could occur, and mankind now has the technology to carry this out (i.e. nukes).
I am too.

SMALL STRAWS IN A SOFT WIND by Marsha Burns — August 27, 2009:
The enemy is fighting for control and will not give up easily, yet he is already defeated. Refuse to allow discouragement to come when you have a minor setback because this is his last ditch effort to keep you in bondage just before you break forth into unbridled liberty, says the Lord. You are above and not beneath; he is beneath and not above you. Be strong and courageously keep pressing through. Victory is assured.
Deuteronomy 28:13 And the LORD will make you the head and not the tail; you shall be above only, and not be beneath, if you heed the commandments of the LORD your God, which I command you today, and are careful to observe them.

John Paul Jackson isn’t he one of the grape prophets? From the old K-city vineyard?
I don’t know what you’re talking about.
Thanks.
Amazing. Frightening, but in the end hopeful. May we all be ready.
AMEN!
