Looks like the mormons had to do away with several disgusting practices. The vengeance oath, polygamy, the “curse of Cain” excuse for banning blacks from the priesthood, and worshiping in the temple.

The washing and annointings were different too. Here is an oldtimey picture of the Salt Lake Temple showing bathtubs. I don't even want to know what they were used for or what the black tubing hanging from the door was for.

I didn’t know you were that old.

Glad you forgot about the War of Northern Aggression.Tell me about a situation during the WBTS where one side talked the other into surrendering on terms, then slaughtered about 120 men, women and children without mercy.
If you can give such an example, I'd be interested in seeing it. The greatest single atrocity committed on civilians during the War was the attack on Lawrence. During that, even drunk rebs treated the women of Lawrence with great respect, tipping their hats to them before tossing their wounded husbands into burning buildings.
During the Mormon Wars in MO, women and children were not murdered by either side. I know of no even vaguely similar incident in American history to the MMM.

Haun’s Mill, Carthage Jail, etc. Seems like the murderous protestant mobs started it, in spades.
To: Old Mountain man
The Mountain Meadow Massacre victims were innocent pioneers trying to go to California to start a new life. They had nothing to do with Hauns Mill or the Carthage jail.

So, now you are blaming those who were murdered in Haun’s mill and Carthage Jail? That seems typical of protestants on these threads.
To: Old Mountain man
This thread isn't about Haun’s Mill or the jail at Carthage. It is about the finding of a skull that is reported to have been from a young woman who was murdered along with at least 119 others.
If you have evidence, not rumors or speculation, but hard evidence that she and the other victims had anything to do with Haun’s Mill or the jail at Carthage, bring it on!
But 120 innocent people died at the hands of Mormons at Mountain Meadows, and the LDS church has full responsibility for this despicable mass murder.

ROFLOL 2x. Just like a protestant not to take responsibility for all the mass murders his own religion has promulgated.
