Catholics and Protestants alike need to stand united against abortion and other sins of our nation. If we don’t stand for something, we will fall for anything, as the saying goes. Every generation seems to grow weaker and more liberal. Church isn’t as important to them as it was to us growing up. God help us all.
Great read. Thanks, Jay.
Father Corapi tells it the way it is.
Would that more *real people* were called to speak to the multitudes one at a time as this great man does.
I try never to miss him whenever he is on. And after having heard his exhortation to pray the Rosary, I took it to heart and I pray it every day. On the subway to work. The ride is precisely the right amount of time. A woman has told me that she is now doing the same, and I have seen another one take out her Rosary and kiss the Cross and pray briefly and then put it away. And a young Chinese man asked me if I had another of the pamphlets they give out at our church on praying the Rosary.
At my age I know I cannot save the world. But Father is correct, the Rosary can.
This will give you some insight into his feelings towards the president. Here is his comment following the Obama victory.
THERE IS STILL A GOD IN HEAVENThe American people have now made it abundantly clear who they want to lead them, and the policies and practices that this president-elect has represented for some time, they can now claim as their own. Actions have consequences, and I am sure God has duly noted what our priorities are in the US of A. Economic matters would seem to take precedence over moral matters; money more important than life itself to most people (I guess they dont consider almost 50,000,000 innocent children murdered by abortion part of life). Now we shall see what the fruit of such a tree will be. I predict that we wont have to wait long. In recent months we have seen corrections in the stock market, housing market, and banking industries. Now well see if God orchestrates a correction in a country and a world that has demonstrated quite clearly that it prefers convenience and wealth to life itself. Regardless of whatever happens next, remember there is still a God in Heaven and He loves you. He is infinitely mercifuland He is infinitely just as well.
God Bless You
Fr. John Corapi
Emphasis, mine. He wrote this immediately following the election of the new president. Prophetic, isn't it.
