The issue is not Cornwell’s credibility, admittedly nil, but alleged errors in Yallop’s book that are matter of fact: problems with Yallop’s time line, existence of death certificate, uncorroborated sourcing, misrepresenting a testimony. Both appear to be anti-Catholic propagandists unable to get their stories straight.

Exactly. Normally I respect Sandra Miesel, but I think she goes wrong there. It's not a question of one book being good because the other is bad. It's a question of two very suspect books with axes to grind. Perhaps one is worse than the other, but neither is trustworthy.
