Yes, that is true. And there is also the unfortunate situation in which some people will refuse to understand a Council as being built on all the previous councils. They will insist that the Second Vatican Council, for instance, pressed a reset button on dogma which is of course absurd. Councils are not presented or formed in a vacuum, but are thoroughly Catholic. And a Catholic should receive them as they would the Scripture. Many will read scripture and interpret each phrase in a way which suits them at that moment. True Catholic understanding comes from a foundation in the whol dogmatic teaching of the Church and her history which then understands the scriptures in that context. If we would benefit from a council, or scripture, we would understand it as Catholics.

If the hotel was leasing land from the Muslims I would be saying the same thing. It doesn’t take a rocket scientist to figure this one out.
