I always feel uneasy about pastors passing the mantle of their ministry to their children - it feels too much like nepotism or hero worship. I also get chills about the veneration of the Pope and Bishops (both Catholic and Protestant).
I guess I am just too much of a Congregationalist. I really don’t think it is important where you came from, who ordained you, or who your father was. The only important thing is your relationship with Jesus and how you live out that relationship with your fellow man.
“I dont know why but the first time I saw the son, he kind of reminded me of Al Gore.”

And he talks like Gore, too.
Our church teaches only from the Bible. We go book by book, chapter by chapter, verse by verse and at times, word by word. It’s wonderful!
Sounds just like my church! They are out there, more than you think! May the Lord bless you:)
