I remember you now. I disagree with you. Eternal life in hell is a far, far worse (I’d put the word far a trillion times if I could)fate than merely being cast into a lake of fire. That’s why so much is at stake. If I thought my unsaved brother would only lose the blessing of heaven I would not be nearly as concerned about him as I am. There is a HUGE difference between not attaining something lovely and merely being killed vs. living for all eternity knowing that one could have had the opportunity to have life with our Lord, yet suffer every single day, every single hour, forever and ever. I shudder at even the thought of a week in Hell’s torments.
I’ve read a couple of books by people who believe that they have witnessed the reality of hell. I don’t know whether it is real or not, but I have no argument with them as the people seem reasonable and sane. It’s all I need to know.
Okay, that's your right. But be aware that there are just as many who don't accept your view as there are that do. And many of those who hold to the traditional view of the interim state of the dead are starting to question its validity; they are of many denominations of Christianity and many are theological professors in the various Bible colleges and seminaries here in America and even overseas. I didn’t need their dreams to support my belief, but it sure didn’t hurt it. Unlike you, who apparently disregard whole texts of Scripture. Of course, I know you have studied this a long, long time.
I have no beef with you, but just be careful, because guess who else knows Scripture backwards and forwards and knows every language every written or spoken? You know who.
Do these people explain exactly how they have witnessed the reality of hell? Did they come back from the dead?
