>>> "To love Mary to the point of handing her the position of Christ is not Christian love. It's worship."
The Marian title Coredemptrix never places Mary on a level of equality with her Divine Son, Jesus Christ. Rather it refers to Mary's unique human participation which is completely secondary and subordinate to the redeeming role of Jesus, who alone is true God and true Man.

It’s good to come out with it. Thank you.

Could you explain it to me then?My response was aimed at Lord Calvinius and his suggestion that Catholics might actually be worshipping Mary unawares, and that Protestants are merely trying to be helpful in curing us of our ignorance.
I am Catholic, BTW.

Oooops! Sorry, I thought that you were saying that Catholics thought that Protestants were ignorant!
Sorry! I was on a roll.

“The Goddess of Wicca or witchcraft or any paganism was never as clearly defined, as extravagantly empowered, as enshrined, as praised, as sung about, as sculpted, as loved, as the Goddess Mary of the RCC.”
So how come admitting to worship of Mary (in the sense of worshipping Christ) gets one barred from the Catholic Church? Do Wiccans kick people out of Wicca for worshipping goddesses?

Well golly, none of us will be offended if you follow the rules.
Don’t make it personal. Not to me, nor to any of the other Catholics here.

Was Paul crucified for you? Or were you baptized in the name of Paul?
Neither was Mary crucified for you.

The scenario you imagined is precisely why the false Jesuit Oath is not allowed at all on this forum. It is as much "hate mongering" as the Palestianian "cartoons" showing Jews with fangs dripping with blood and dead Palestianian babies in their arms.
No "hate mongering" material is allowed here at all.
And from this point forward, I shall consider attempts by Religion Forum posters to plaster their opponents with hate mongering labels such as "Jack Chick" or "Hitler" or "Nazi" or "KKK" to be as much "hate mongering" as if they quoted those sources themselves.
Well, I got some news for you, my moderating friend,...
Don't get smart mouthed with
any moderator.
And my decision stands:
For something to be "settled" it must be established by law. Since this is not a matter of law, as long as posters disagree whether or not Mary is being worshipped, it is not "settled" and the question remains a valid issue for an "open" Religion Forum thread.
Settlements generally involve two opposing sides coming to an agreement outside a "court" or, in the alternative, the issue being resolved by the court.
One side cannot declare the issue "settled."

Did Christ come from the Body of Paul?
If the Heavenly Father wanted no woman to give birth to Christ, it would have happened. He would have just appeared.
But He made a woman conceive Him.

So what is the “Law”? Because the law of the Catholic Church settles the issue.
Stating that the law of “worshiping” Mary is the law of anyone else is like saying that we can settle things in America with the UN law.
Don’t we fight that as conservatives?

If my 8 year old can use correct grammar, I think everyone can too. If one continues to use Catholics, instead of including the some then you are making it inclusive. And that's wrong. I just rewrote my post to take out "you" although "you" can be used as both individual and singular. The Mod would toss me for "you". "Catholics" without "some" makes it inclusive and should have the same rules. Is it the inherent trait of all Catholics to be condescending and insulting, or just the FReeper Catholics???

BTW, has it also occured to Catholics here that the reason many Protestants continue to maintain that Catholics worship Mary OVER Catholic protestations to the contrary is that Protestants believe that Catholics are self-deceived and dont even realize that they do it? So Catholics are really stupid and you know what we are doing better than we ourselves? Rather it is my opinion that those Protestants who will not accept Catholics at their word and insist that we worship Mary are stuck on external appearances and willfully refuse to understand our internal motivations. This shows a lack of good faith, is rash judgment and a sin against charity.

No you have it backwards. It’s a FReeper thing!!!!
And I never said you personally. I never used the word “you” anywhere in that post.
I think that good grammar is important for all of us.
