JESUS THE CHRIST - Chapter 1, INTRODUCTION
JESUS THE CHRIST - Chapter 2, PREEXISTENCE AND FOREORDINATION OF THE CHRIST.
JESUS THE CHRIST - Chapter 3, THE NEED OF A REDEEMER.
JESUS THE CHRIST - Chapter 4, THE ANTEMORTAL GODSHIP OF CHRIST.
Let us see the ‘Golden Tablets.’
Who are you then? Do you really believe God would make a mistake and correct it by putting you in another persons body? I bet you are Catholic.
Wow this is seriously messed up stuff. Definitely the stuff of man-made cults.

Well, don’t protest too much because sevenbak has been given protected status to “hose off the pigs” (i.e. Gentiles) who would “bash” the Mormon church. You will notice this is in the news rather than religion forum,it is meant to give Mormons special status so they can proselytize.
[Through scriptures other than those embodied in the Old Testament we learn with greater fulness of the revelations of God to Adam respecting the coming of the Redeemer. As a natural and inevitable result of his disobedience, Adam had forfeited the high privilege he once enjoyed — that of holding direct and personal association with his God; nevertheless in his fallen state he was visited by an angel of the Lord, who revealed unto him the plan of redemption: “And after many days an angel of the Lord appeared unto Adam, saying: Why dost thou offer sacrifices unto the Lord? And Adam said unto him: I know not, save the Lord commanded me. And then the angel spake, saying: This thing is a similitude of the sacrifice of the Only Begotten of the Father, which is full of grace and truth. Wherefore, thou shalt do all that thou doest in the name of the Son, and thou shalt repent and call upon God in the name of the Son for evermore. And in that day the Holy Ghost fell upon Adam, which beareth record of the Father and the Son, saying: I am the Only Begotten of the Father from the beginning, henceforth and for ever, that as thou hast fallen thou mayest be redeemed, and all mankind, even as many as will.”]
Oh yeah, I believe that.

I misspoke, it is in the Religion section, my Bad.
The Mods have switched positions. This post is in the religion section. Just where it should be.
Has anyone seen the religion mod? No posts from him/her since Saturday. I guess we have all been “being good.”
Hi Mod - just wanted to know if you’re alive.
This is in the Religion Forum. Check your FR settings if you don’t want to see the Religion Forum in your browser.
Too bad it backfired. lol
Don’t see any new converts lately. (cultverts?)
Ever read the works of Enoch? I know you guys don’t particularly like the apocrypha, but they are very enlightening, and supportive of LDS views.
Off to work, later.
Or LDS is supportive of its views.
“Notwithstanding in this rejoice not . . . , but rather rejoice because your names are written in heaven.” Luke 10:19, 20
Jesus Christ says, in effect, Don’t rejoice in successful service, but rejoice because you are rightly related to Me. The snare in Christian work is to rejoice in successful service, to rejoice in the fact that God has used you. You never can measure what God will do through you if you are rightly related to Jesus Christ. Keep your relationship right with Him, then whatever circumstances you are in, and whoever you meet day by day, He is pouring rivers of living water through you, and it is of His mercy that He does not let you know it. When once you are rightly related to God by salvation and sanctification, remember that wherever you are, you are put there by God; and by the reaction of your life on the circumstances around you, you will fulfill God’s purpose, as long as you keep in the light as God is in the light.
The tendency to-day is to put the emphasis on service. Beware of the people who make usefulness their ground of appeal. If you make usefulness the test, then Jesus Christ was the greatest failure that ever lived. The lodestar of the saint is God Himself, not estimated usefulness. It is the work that God does through us that counts, not what we do for Him. All that Our Lord heeds in a man’s life is the relationship of worth to His Father. Jesus is bringing many sons to glory.
Ping. This one deserves some attention.
Ok. How much usefulness is enough? What’s the passing grade for Heaven?
On the Mosiah Chapter 3 "Devotional" which appears to be nothing more than a posting of a chapter of the Book of Mormon without comment, I reposted the last two verses of the Chapter (without comment) and I was told by the Lead Moderator to stay off the LDS Threads.
It seems that the censorship (YES IT IS CENSORSHIP) of the Religion forum is reaching new heights and even if you merely repost part of the Devotional Thread, you are kicked off it if they suspect that your motives in reposting that particular verse is impure.
There was a thread about the Hare Krishna's claiming that the Apollo Mission was faked which was locked because it was considered "Mormon Bashing". Another thread that discussed the "Hollow Earth" theory was removed because it was called "Mormon Baiting".
Yes it does seem that the mods have granted the LDS Church protected status to come on here and post whatever nonsense they want without challenge.
Frankly since the LDS apparently have no logical or legitimate response to many of the criticisms of the LDS Church's doctrines, practices, scriptures, or whatever, I suppose that protected status from the Mods is the only way they are going to be able to spread their propaganda without looking like fools. The abuse button is their friend.
Since this thread is not labeled "Caucus" or "Devotional" I suppose I still have the right to actually speak my mind. I suspect, however, that this post will probably get pulled soon.
Cest la vie.
Read the whole thing, this is a devotional from Oswald Chambers.
