as for being entitled, you just have not known many Polynesians have you, you have to be careful how you complement what they are wearing, they'll give it to you and be offended if you won't take it when they offer. I got a tie that way once... I had to find something else to give my friend that he liked to feel better, he wouldn't take the tie back... at the same time, when the come out of a building, they will get on any bike and ride to where they need to go, it's not stealing, nobody was using it so it was available...

It's just a different way of thinking.

My son has been living in Hawaii for years, and my children all attended public school on the west side of the Salt Lake Valley (I will not disclose the particular school, but needless to say, it has the largest percentage of polynesians in the contiguous United States - it has been named the most diverse school in the nation by “teen magazine” - - now you can go look it up, it will give you more reading material).

I would challenge you to look at DU’s post & note where he might have been able to have cut down the answers & still address the issues fully enough w/o misunderstanding. The points he made we dead on. The best you can come back w/ is that he was too verbose?

Yes, he is verbose - but he also is all over the map in the cases I have taken the time to to read.

Furhter, I have been reading his posts for months now. Some of his posts took me a very long time to get through, as I attempted to understand him. Sadly, the more I read the more I realized he was not addressing points of fact, but attempting to obscure and obfuscate the issues that were raised.

Specifically, I have seen DU respond to a questions such as who was Christ, and go off in completely irrelevant directions with the thread.

To go "point by point" to him would require one engage in the very abhorrent behavior (which I really believe is abuse of posting privileges) that he engages in.

I can think of no other Freeper on this forum who takes up such significant band with space with posts that are so voluminous that it takes more time to scroll through them as it does to log onto your computer.

Worse, even after pointing out these problems to DU, he laughs, gives "LOLs!", and takes pride in the spam.

Well, there you go - I addressed your complaint. I doubt you will be satisfied, but I weighed that going in.

Freeper Godzilla has attempted to do just as you say, and respond point to point, sentence to sentence, and yet on this thread you criticized Godzilla's own post for being too long?!

Well, perhaps I can make it easier on you. Just pick one area or one issue of his post where he might have been able to have cut down the answers substantially & still address the issues fully enough w/o misunderstanding.

BTW, do you really consider ANSWERS to Godzilla’s MULTI PAGE extravaganza, spam? Incidentally, I think you’ll find that Godzilla has had numerous posts that are even longer than the one in question to DU. His posts at times can be much, much longer than the avg. here on FR.

I can’t even imagine how long Godzilla’s posts would be if he were actually defending his beliefs against attacks on a regular basis. It normally takes far longer to defend than to attack.

So, how come no attacks on Godzilla for his verbosity which is far more than the norm here. Is it the length of a post, or perhaps the agenda that matters most to you?

What’s your formula as to how long a response should be to a given question? Noting how many questions were raised in Godzilla’s multi page post, how much time should he have devoted to each, & how much time over that did he expend? Just curious.

To do with What? Salvation? That's part of the New and Everlasting Covenant (Marriage for all eternity) As Christians, we perform that Ordinance for all by commandment of the Lord, either in life, or after death, for all mankind to accept or reject. That all men may stand equally before the bar of Christ no matter what day and age they lived in. That part of the New and everlasting Covenant can be found in D&C 132: 18-20, we don't claim that this is in the Bible, in fact, that knowledge is lost to the "Orthodox Christian" community.

What I find amazing is that you an ex-Mormon, or a Mormon who left and won't let the church know (however you want us to say that status) ask this, you should know the answer, and it's in the D&C. Like I said there is really nothing in the Temple ceremonies that is not in our standard works.

I never complained about the length of Godzilla’s posts other than for me, I rarely have the time to answer all he posts to me.

The reason I brought up the length of Godzilla’s posts is to give reason as to why the response might illicit a lengthy reply. It’s not as if Godzilla just made one or two points that needed response. Godzilla is obviously well researched in his comments, all be it, I think he is wrong in many of the conclusions he makes as well as his sources.

That being said, I appreciate his effort. He at least tries & make the case unlike many here who just do the “oh yea, well your mother wears army boots” type of comments that have become so infamous here.

SOAP - When found to be engaging in a tactic, immediately accuse your opponent of doing it as inoculation against people pointing it out.

Let me give you brilliant (For an anti) thought, If there is no attack, the response will not even exist. If the attack is large, loose and verbose,the response will have to be as well. You want smaller posts post smaller attacks. Go ahead, call a meeting, LOL!

Funny, the challenge was to specifically point out where I should have been brief instead you decline in your "Good Gracious" sentence to even contemplate such a task. Then you launch off on a bunch of IMHO Bloviation about how I should be blocked from posting because text takes up too much bandwidth. Do you have any idea how much bandwidth Pictures take? (I know, I Know they are hosted somewhere else, but it still slows down people's load speed and scroll speed)

In short, a cursory analysis of your post reveals SOAP in full force, but IMHO your actual response to the challenge is full retreat.
