What don’t you believe in that statement, Pet?

***But then, unlike a lot of Protestants, we don’t keep Him on the hall stand and rub His head for luck when we walk by.

Well sure you do...Well, maybe you don’t...But you keep Mary on the hall stand...And on the front lawn...Seen her there myself...***

No I don’t. You’ve never been to my house, evidently.

***Umm, you may wish to consider what Scripture is. It is what we wrote as an accompanying manual for the teachings of the Church. The Church is what Jesus left for us, not writings. The NT wasn’t put together for 300 years after Jesus was taken up to Heaven.

Just so I don’t forget.***

You’ll see this material again. Your Judge will Judge you on it, among other things.

Before long, all barriers to Christ, including the one true church and all the rest of us (LOL) will disappear. He will send terrors upon our world and then it won’t matter one twit whether you were Catholic, Orthodox, Protestant, Pentecostal or anything else. If you are in Christ, that will be all that matters. Everything else will fade away.

***The corrupt line of New Age Bibles, from the Critical text types do come from the RCC.

The Holy Spirit was responsible for the pure line of Bible, found in the Received Text Bibles of the Reformation.***

Beginning with exceptionally pure KJV, whose accuracy has been discussed with much interest here.

Unlike the Avis of yore, the difference is not apparent.

Our church is also full of ex-catholics who are glad to finally be out of there and into freedom.

Mustn’t make up your own scriptures now, Petronski.

Unlike Luther, I wouldn't dare.

***We articulate the Scriptures quite carefully and fully regarding where Rome strays from the word of God.***

We find that the articulation is significantly fuzzy and entire books are removed from Scripture in order to cherry pick the correct Reformed defense.

My parish is filled with ex-protestants who were thrilled to leave the lies and false teaching.

******The Apostles and their successors were Catholic. You may be proud that you’re not. Theologically speaking, where does that leave you?***

On more honest and higher Theological ground.***

It is ludicrous to believe that the Church Doctors failed and that Calvin succeeded in defining the Faith.

***You have no idea how much sadness I feel for so many Catholics that are so busy listening to men that they fail to hear the voice of God. Oh, well, as the Lord wills.

Sola Scriptura!!!***

With that last line, you have undone any argument that you have hitherto presented.

“Umm, the epistles from James through Jude are called the Catholic letters. Maybe you might actually read your Bible in order to find out what’s there.”

Ummm, you are aware of the history of the gospels and epistles? Perhaps you really should actually read them for yourself.

They weren’t called the “Catholic letters” in the first century. There weren’t any “Catholics” in the first century. Just Christians. No denominations, just groups of believers.

“But not even the Apostles knew of their salvation. They had faith and they hoped, but they did not know.”

If they didn’t, then what was the point? Jesus clearly declared what He was here to do. If you can’t see that, you need a new teacher.

I’m not depriving myself of anything, Petronski. I have Christ and that’s all I need.

I’m not depriving myself of anything...

He left all of us the Blessed Sacraments. If you eschew them, you deprive yourself of His gifts.
