You are going under the assumption that the gospel you were preached to is the same gospel that was preached to the early saints. I don’t know what faith you are, and frankly, it’s none of my business ( I don’t spend my time here on FR ripping other’s faith like some) but given the 30 thousand plus different “Christian” religions in the world, teaching different doctrines, they can’t all be teaching the same things that were given to the early saints.
One Lord, One faith, One baptism.

Odd? I look at the Hebrew and Greek to offer you a bit of help, yet your peepstone prophet used only his divination rock to rewrite the King James Bible, into King James English which was already an outdated version of English, and he came up with farsical garbage out of his imagination. But you choose to try that smear again regarding the Bible. Quite revealing. Would like for me to post a few more of your adulterous sexual devaiate Smith's additions to the King James Bible?
BTW, didn't you claim to understand Hebrew and Greek several months ago, yet you try to pretend you do not comprehend the reference to 'better'. You do know what 'transliterate Hebrew is, don't you? I didn't lose you at that early juncture, did I?

Well, I’ll take all the prayers I can get. If he’s earnest, it can’t hurt. Everyone can use a little more insight from on high.

Actually, you don't need much loot if you send the wife out to bring home the bacon.
Hmm, well, ummm, that would certainly explain a lot. Can I send you the bill for my new scroll wheel? ;-)

To help you, it is read from left to right rather than the traditional right to left. Can you find ‘G_D in the sentence? ... that is Psalm 81:1

Me:
~(b)...started the canonization process themselves...You: 1918. You might also check out sections 135 and 136, as well as both of the Official Declarations (canonized into LDS scripture despite your object below).
Tanty, my understanding is that the 1918 revelation wasn't accepted as canonized until 1976 and wasn't in "Scriptural" format print until 1981. (That's why I added the word "themselves"...J.F. Smith didn't add this "revelation" himself as a "canonized" document.
If you read back over what I said...a/b/c I also ruled out the "declarations" since neither one was written in revelational "thus saith the Lord" language.

One would think that there would be other records, on brass, found in the Holy Land.
Good question. Of course there are many ancient records written on metal from the period and geographical location. Here are just a few. Google is a good place to start if you want to find more.
The golden plate on the left is written in Phoenician, while the lamina on the right is written in Etruscan. (Rome, Museo Nazionale di Villa Giulia)
This rare bronze tablet, the oldest to be recovered from the ancient Near East, dates to the middle of the thirteenth century BC. The tablet captures in bronze the treaty of a Hittite king with a vassal in the south. Metal tablets were created for special occasions, although very few have survived into the present day. Because of the value of the metal, most such tablets were melted down and reused over the centuries.
A pair of bronze plates dating from the second century A.D.
There are many many more... Also look up metal scrolls, the kinds that were buried with the dead seas scrolls. Silver and lead I think. Records were kept on metal when the content was too valuable to be lost with deterioration.

None at all. MY ‘problem’ is that Joseph Smith, a mere 14 yo ignorant farm boy, with evidently NO knowledege of the warnings of Scripture; got deceived by two Angels of Light sent from Satan and has since confounded countless millions of people. Well, at least that’s a different approach than what we usually hear, that Oliver Cowdry or Sidney Rigdon wrote it.
Kudos to you for stepping out of the box!

No, you are elevating your knowledge and resources above that of the scholars of King James time who had access to manuscripts, languages and resources that you do not.
You are telling me the bible is “not translated correctly”
Can you not see the complete irony in this?
