This is America and you are free to do as your conscience dictates. But your definition of Jesus and mine are diametrically opposed, and you understate mormonism. You bring the 'milk' of mormonism, hiding the 'meat'.
1. Mormons believe that their church is "the only true and living church upon the face of the whole earth" (D&C 1:30), the only organization authorized by the Almighty to preach his gospel and administer the ordinances of salvation, the only Church which has power to save" (Mormon Doctrine; 1977 ed, p. 136).
2. "Mormons believe that through the atonement of Christ all mankind may be saved by obedience to the laws and ordinances of the gospel."
3. Brigham Young emphasized that accepting Joseph Smith as God's prophet was necessary for one to have eternal life:
. . . I am an Apostle of Joseph Smith. . . . all who reject my testimony will go to hell, so sure as there is one, no matter whether it be hot or cold . . . (Journal of Discourses, vol. 3, p. 212).
. . . no man or woman in this dispensation will ever enter into the celestial kingdom of God without the consent of Joseph Smith. . . . Every man and woman must have the certificate of Joseph Smith, junior, as a passport to their entrance into the mansion where God and Christ are . . . I cannot go there without his consent. . . . He reigns there as supreme a being in his sphere, capacity, and calling, as God does in heaven (Journal of Discourses, vol. 7, p. 289).
These three points alone tell me we don't share the same Jesus. The apostle Paul made it very clear about people like Joe Smith:
Galatians 1:6-9: 6 I marvel that ye are so soon removed from him that called you into the grace of Christ unto another gospel:
7 Which is not another; but there be some that trouble you, and would pervert the gospel of Christ.
8 But though we, or an angel from heaven, preach any other gospel unto you than that which we have preached unto you, let him be accursed.
9 As we said before, so say I now again, If any man preach any other gospel unto you than that ye have received, let him be accursed.
Paul also warned us about working our way to heaven
Eph 2:8 for by grace have ye been saved through faith; and that not of yourselves, it is the gift of God;
9 not of works, that no man should glory.
Finally, Jesus said He was the decider, not Joe Smith:
Joh 14:6 Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, and the truth, and the life: no one cometh unto the Father, but by me.
My Jesus is God the Son, Second Person of the Trinity, one in substance and nature with the Father and the Spirit - One God. The Jesus of mormonism is part of a committee of gods among even more gods. That is called polytheism. We have nothing in common - both by the very words of mormonism, as well as by your definition of Jesus incompatibility with that of true Christianity.
CTR was to remind young people to do the right thing or always remember who you are “a child of God”.
So when confronted while out with friends always CTR = Choose the Right!
You may not think he is your brother, but your parents understand it.
Let me try again:
Is the Jesus you claim to worship the "spirit brother" of Lucifer or the "Creator" of Lucifer?
Jesus, the very thought of thee
With sweetness fills my breast;
But sweeter far thy face to see
And in thy presence rest.
Nor voice can sing, nor heart can frame,
Nor can the mem’ry find
A sweeter sound than thy blest name,
O Savior of mankind!
O hope of ev’ry contrite heart,
O joy of all the meek,
To those who fall, how kind thou art!
How good to those who seek!
Jesus, our only joy be thou,
As thou our prize wilt be;
Jesus, be thou our glory now,
And thru eternity.
Like I said your parents are LDS so even if you left you are of the same DNA
So that explains the odd behavior of those chanting CTR here? Personal attacks, applause for insults, refusal to answer civil questions and other such breaches of common courtesy?
What are you trying to draw to a conclusion that because the natural man is continues to step on the LDS toes, and the LDS say Ouch!
Try that again, use simple words. As written it means nothing.
Thank you for bringing up Kolob. If Heavenly Father has prepared a mansion for you equipped with its own planet, would you be greatly offended?
“Then sings my soul, my Savior God, to thee,
How great thou art!
How great thou art!
Then sings my soul, my Savior God to thee,
How great thou art!
How great thou art!”
Find out the generation where Gods began to be?

How many Gods there Ms. Duffy?
Jesus Christ and Him crucified. That’s what it’s all about, FReeper pal.
So the so called “Booik of Abraham” is in error?
Eleventh Article of Faith:
We claim the privilege of worshipping Almighty God according to the dictates of our own conscience, and allow all men the same privilege, let them worship how, where, or what they may.
Thank you.
Here is what he has to say on the subject of us becoming “gods”
“The Son of God became a man,” to enable men to become sons of God.”
“The command Be Ye perfect is not idealistic gas. Nor is it a command to do the impossible. He is going to make us into creatures that can obey that command. He said (in the Bible) that we were ‘gods’ and He is going to make good his words.
If we let Him-for we can prevent Him, if we choose-He will make the feeblest and filthiest of us into a god or goddess, dazzling, radiant, immortal creature, pulsating all through with such energy and joy and wisdom and love as we cannot now imagine, a bright stainless mirror which reflects back to God perfectly (though, of course, on a smaller scale) His own boundless power and delight and goodness. The process will be long and in parts very painful; but that is what we are in for. Nothing less. He meant what He said."
Finally, this reference in Psalms, to which Christ himself made mention of later.
“God standeth in the congregation of the mighty; he judgeth among the gods....I have said, Ye are gods; and all of you are children of the most High.” Psalms (82:1,6)
