Personally I’m a panmillenialist.
I believe it will all pan out in the end.
;-)
And I, dear festus, am a PROmillinenialist: LET ‘ER RIP!!!
Pretrib, premil, all through faith in Him.
Thank You Lord, even so come quickly Lord Jesus per His will and not ours.
I’m still trying to figure out where David is now. As soon as I do I’ll let you know.
ping
Now B-D. You know better than that ;)
Of course, for David, Salvation was, just as it is for us, by grace through faith.
He’s awaiting his glorified body and the role he will play in Jerusalem after the tribulation.
“Hes awaiting his glorified body and the role he will play in Jerusalem after the tribulation.”
But, but where, oh where is he now?
Act 2:34, “For David is not ascended into the heavens: but he saith himself, The LORD said unto my Lord, Sit thou on my right hand,”
I know believers are present with the Lord, but where is poor David?
(read later, comment later)
Amen bro, and the sooner the better.
This Godless world will never know peace until the Prince of Peace sits on David's throne in Jerusalem and rules the nations with a rod of iron. Personally, I CAN'T WAIT.
LOL! ;-)
Limbo?
***Act 2:34, For David is not ascended into the heavens: but he saith himself, The LORD said unto my Lord, Sit thou on my right hand,***
All Peter was saying is that David was not referring to himself when he spoke those words for David is not the one sitting at God’s right hand.
They are separate, for certain. Yet, they are not incompatible. MacArthur also speaks favorably of dispensations; though he probably would not be classified as a Scofield Dispy.
I don’t think so. What Peter is saying is at that time David is not ascended into the heavens. The Old Testament saints are being treated differently at this time.
While I do believe in the Rapture prior to the tribulation and then the establishment of a 1,000 year reign, I have never been able to understand dispensationalism, especially concerning Israel. My understanding is that the two witnesses will testify to the gospel. It is the Jews of Israel who hear this gospel and believe in Jesus Christ as their LORD and SAVIOUR that are the portion of Israel that is saved.
Act 2:25 For David speaketh concerning him, I foresaw the Lord always before my face, for he is on my right hand, that I should not be moved:
Act 2:29 Men [and] brethren, let me freely speak unto you of the patriarch David, that he is both dead and buried, and his sepulcher is with us unto this day.
Act 2:31 He seeing this before spake of the resurrection of Christ, that his soul was not left in hell, neither his flesh did see corruption.
Act 2:34 For David is not ascended into the heavens: but he saith himself, The LORD said unto my Lord, Sit thou on my right hand,
Act 2:35 Until I make thy foes thy footstool.
As you can see Peter is referring to the physical resurrection of the body, no where the soul of the believer is.
