I had another screen name in the beginning and have been here for 5 years, actually.

I miss Polycarp, but not Dr. Steve

Sorry if I didn't make myself clear. It's NOT nice to see anybody victimized by these vultures. Not nice at all.

I can disagree (sometimes very strongly disagree) with somebody who comes from a faith tradition formed out of schism. But, whether they are in Communion with the Holy Father or not, there is still only one mystical body of Christ...and seeing people make personal attacks on somebody in an effort to rip it apart and to increase the schism that racks that body is not good. Whether I agree with the theology of the original post or not.

I miss both. drstevej was a good guy who crossed the line too many times, but he was an interesting guy to talk to.

I have never heard them address the issue of reading the Scriptures in Greek and Hebrew. It must take some real doing on their part. On a related note to your post, I have noticed that their church buildings usually have central heat and air. All that said I really do agree with them on a few very important items, and one of their own (Fred Thompson) will be the next POTUS.

Which one are you referring to??? God, or that man in Rome who claims the same title???

And yes there is one body...But it's not mystical, or mysterious...The mystery was revealed by the apostle Paul...

I'll agree with Bremenboy on one thing...There is only one way to heaven...One way of Salvation...His church has one way...Yours has another...The Baptists have another and the mudlims have another yet, plus 72 virgins waiting for them...

Only one group will make it...

I don’t enjoy it, it just represents a respite. I think some semblance of civility that once existed has been lost.

Mormons attack Baptists because Baptists nail Mormons as a cult.

Are you sure? I would have guessed the Campbellite cult, rather than the Mormons, but I didn't wade all the way through it.

Keep wading.

My statement was true but my guess was not. Apparently, it's Mr. Bremen against the World.

"Decontextualized"

No. Baptists do nail Mormons as a cult and they don't tend to appreciate it.

Yes, but the statement doesn’t really fit into the context of this posting.

***At least in terms of articles posted, as I said earlier, there is little positive, all negative being posted.***

Here is something positive for you.

Mar 9:38 John said to him, “Teacher, we saw a man casting out demons in your name, and we forbade him, because he was not following us.”
Mar 9:39 But Jesus said, “Do not forbid him; for no one who does a mighty work in my name will be able soon after to speak evil of me.
Mar 9:40 For he that is not against us is for us.

The only group that makes it will believe this...

Jhn 14:6 Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me.

And since ALL trinitarian christians believe it does it really matter what sign is over their meeting hall door?
