I don't give a flying **** what Joseph Farah thinks. Rick Warren owes no explanation to yellow journalist hacks.

I'm ex-Saddleback member. I was saved there, but when I actually read the bible for myself, I found that I was out of alignment with the megachurch.

Saddleback refuses to teach the literal bible as it stands. Warren has to bolster what the Bible says with quotes from philosophers and phsychologists.

There are some occasional good teachings at Saddleback by the associate pastors, but it seems entertainment themed, rather than "cross"-themed. It's the "Disneyland" of churches, complete with parking shuttles, a mock "tomb of Jesus" and a children's education building that has an "ark" playground.

Couple that with the South OC "church coture", women in skin tight jeans and cleavage-bearing tops... it's so much "of the world" that it turns seeker-friendly into something very disturbing.

Then you add to it, the coffee shop terrace and the book-selling pavillion and it's starting to look like a like a Christian Mall, or maybe that's just part of the "gift shop" concept borrowed from Disneyland.

If Rick Warren, as a CFR member is this naive about Syria, how Naive is he about the Bible?

Well... for one, he does precious little teaching about the coming anti-christ and the return of Jesus. If he is Naive about Syria, will he be naive about anti-christ?
