Which day is the Lord's exactly? Is it one out of 7, or is it 7 out of 7? The sabbath given to man to worship God is not the same Sabbath of God's rest for never was it kept by any man until God gave it to Israel under Mosaic law. The first Sabbath was God's Sabbath, His rest, something we are to strive for. Hebrews 4 :11
Was the sabbath of Israel ever called "The Lord's Day". I can't find that it was.
Paul asked the church to bring an offering when it met together on the first day of the week (Sunday). If Jewish Christians were having a problem and wanted to attend Saturday services as well, then it made sense that the church would meet a different day. All days are the Lord's day anyway.
Revelation 1:10, John says that he was in the spirit on the Lord's Day. He doesn't say "on the Jewish sabbath."

Those instructions weren't specifically directed to Paul and weren't the sentence of a council, but a pronouncement by Peter:

Why would the Holy Ghost tell James, Peter and John that those four things were necessary for Gentile converts if Paul could freely ignore the Holy Ghost?

12 For before that certain came from James, he did eat with the Gentiles: but when they were come, he withdrew and separated himself, fearing them which were of the circumcision.

Peter was afraid of those that came from James. Why? Because James was in charge and he and the other Jews were breaking their dietary laws by eating with the Gentiles, because the Gentiles were STILL not following the four necessary things.

They kept the feasts and the sabbath in the past. They will be kept in the future. Why do you think there is a 'temporary' reprieve taking place, now?
For about a year I have suspended judgment on this interpretation in our congregation. It has been a conundrum for me I've only recently begun to resolve for myself and I'd be pleased to hear your thoughts on it. So would you please indicate where in scripture there is any indication that Y'shua intended communion to be restricted exclusively to Pesach?
From what my limited observation has been able to discern, there is indication to the contrary in Acts 2 with which I am sure you are familiar:

One would think that such included His expectation to be remembered. So why would there be proscription against breaking bread and remembering His new covenant? It would seem unlikely.
But the thing which really tilted the issue for me would seem somewhat peculiar: It was the Sh'ma. Remember the Lord everywhere, all the time, night and day, every day, when you walk on the road, on your hand, in front of your eyes, on your doorposts... once a year? Celebrate Y'shua's new covenant, the forgiveness of sin only on Pesach?
It seems to me totally out of character for the Lord who created us, who wants us to love Him, who knows our hearts and how we need to be reminded, to ask us to remember our own Salvation from sin through His horrible atonement for us as but one pitiful human being, tolerating suffering only G-d could sustain... once a year?
There is nothing in the language restricting remembering Him to Pesach.
Obviously, I agree that we should commemorate our redemption by His death while we remember Adonai's redemption of Isra'el from slavery as Y'shua commanded (and especially after having gone through the exercise of writing a Haggadah for Pesach), but I just don't see anything in scripture that restricts the commemoration to that feast alone, against strong indication that He meant differently.
Frankly, I'd be pleased to be convinced that this conclusion is in error, but it will take some doing on your part. Please indicate where in scripture there is a restriction of communion exclusively to Pesach.
The Sabbath was given to Man in [Genesis 2:3] by God simply blessing it and making it holy. Many folks believe the Sabbath was not observed earlier than Moses....but it was in effect long before Sinai.....and it can be shown scripturally.
The Ten Commandments are not the Law of Moses....they are the Law of God. The Law of Moses was "added later" (430 years) [Galatians 3:17]. Why? Because of transgressions [Galatians 3:19]. What are transgressions? Sins! What is sin? Lawbreaking [1 John 3:4]. You cannot have transgressions without a Law....and the reason for the addition of "The Law of Moses" was for transgressions against the "Law of God"....already in effect!
The "Law of Moses" is summarized in [Hebrews 9:10]. The "Law of God is summarized in [Romans 7:12-14].
Adam sinned and sin does not apply where there is no law [Romans 4:15] so....we know that there was a spiritual law in effect from the beginning. Death was the consequence from Adam's time for law breaking. Adam was given proper instruction and commands and proceeded to break them and in doing so, sinned against God and became subject to Satan. Eve broke the first commandment as well and they both broke the fifth commandment in dishonoring their parent. They also stole from God, breaking the eighth commandment, taking something not of their own. Eve lusted for the forbidden fruit breaking the tenth commandment.
[Genesis 4:8] shows Cain breaking the sixth commandment....and then lied about it breaking the ninth.
All these folks knew they were breaking God's Laws and would be held accountable.
Jacob knew that idol worship was wrong [Genesis 35:2-3], the second commandment.
Abimelech [Genesis 20:3-7] knew that adultery was wrong, the seventh commandment, and also Joseph [Genesis 39:8-9].
[Exodus 16:23] shows God re instituting the Sabbath to the Children of Israel. They had been in Egypt for centuries....much of it in captivity, and had forgotten the Sabbath....the fourth commandment. This is before Mt. Sinai and notice in verse 28 the Lord says to Moses, "How long will you refuse to keep my commands and instructions?" Verse 27 shows that some folks had broken the fourth commandment.
Was the sabbath of Israel ever called "The Lord's Day". I can't find that it was.
The Lord's day is found in Joel 2:31. In the Old Testament it was referred to as the "Day of the Lord" and this is what John is referring to when he speaks of the Lord's day in Revelation 1:10. Notice in Revelation 4:2 he is being brought forward in time...."in the spirit". This is the only Biblical reference to the "Lord's Day" in the New Testament and it does not mean that John is laying on the beach on Patmos some Sunday morning. He is having a vision of the Great and terrible Day of The lord!. See also [Zechariah 14:4, Isaiah 13:10, Joel 3:14-15 and Matthew 24].
Actually he does refer to it as "the feast":
1Co 5:8 Therefore let us keep the feast, not with old leaven, neither with the leaven of malice and wickedness; but with the unleavened bread of sincerity and truth.
Now the word translated "keep the feast" is actually the greek word "heortazo". It is a verb and it means "to keep a holy day". It's Strong's 1858. More specifically, it literally means to keep one of the holy days that God ordained.
This is evident because Strong's 1859 is "heorte", or a holy day, or more specifically, only refers to one of God's holy days. "Heorte" can't and doesn't mean anything else but one of the days that God ordained his followers observe.
Do a Strongs search on "heorte". You'll see that it always refers to one of God's feast days.
Despite the protests of those who believe that we don't have to honor God by observing the days he told us to, Paul is actually telling his congregation, made up of a large portion of former gentiles, to observe one of God's holy days. There's no other way that they could possibly take it considering the langugage used.
So, none of the gentiles were circumcised, none of then observed Rosh Hashanah, or sacrificed an annimal. None of them observed "kosher laws" or anything else particular to the Jews.
This is confusing. You do realize that "kosher" has almost nothing to do with scripture...don't you? The "kosher" laws kept by the Jewish religion are primarily traditions of the Jewish religion. God specified very little in scripture in the food laws compared to the tradition that built up around them.
You seem to be under the impression that Jewish traditions and culture are the one and the same as scriptural commands from God. They're not.
Also, you keep using the term "Jews" in relation to what God ordered. God didn't order holy days to be observed by just jews. He ordered them to be observed by all of Israel, the children of Israel:
Lev 23:2 Speak unto the children of Israel, and say unto them, Concerning the feasts of the LORD, which ye shall proclaim to be holy convocations, even these are my feasts.
God wants ALL of the children of Israel, not just Jews, those of the tribe of Judah, to observe his holy days.
All Christians ARE children of Israel. ALL Christians ARE Israelites or they are NOT Christians.
Why is this? Simple, because the new covenant, what all Christians are under, is to ONLY be made with Israelites:
Heb 8:8 For finding fault with them, he saith, Behold, the days come, saith the Lord, when I will make a new covenant with the house of Israel and with the house of Judah:

How do you justify being a child of Israel and not observing what God specifically tells you to observe?

We are saved by being adopted into the house of Israel, not the other way around.

Great points and thanks for the scriptures. This really needs to be emphasized again. Observers should note that God specifically tells "strangers", gentiles, those who are not OF Israel, to observe his sabbath day, if they are abiding with Israel.

By accepting Christ, with Christ, we now become part of the commonwealth of Israel and can now become part of the covenant made only with Israel:

In Romans 11, Paul compares Israel, which was cultivated and groomed by God, to a cultivated olive tree. He compares gentiles to branches of a wild olive tree that are grafted onto the cultivated tree of Israel via the sacrifice of Christ.
Rom 11:24 For if you were cut off from what is by nature a wild olive tree, and were grafted contrary to nature into a cultivated olive tree, how much more will these who are the natural branches be grafted into their own olive tree? (NASB)
What this means to Christians is that we become part of the tree of Israel. The commandments of God to "the children of Israel" apply to us:

We don't make up our own "holidays" to replace holy days. They have been created and prepared by the Christian God, the one true God, and are still there in the tree of Israel.
