I saw oil poured out from the sky, in two separate ways. One fell over people who gladly received it over them and laughed in the 'oil rain'.
On the other hand, for others, the oil rain caused to be set aflame all that was below.

The Earth was in a global eclipse. One half had light, the other half was in darkness. It seemed that plates were shifted/removed from the earth. There were people who raged against God. " We'll do what we have to, let Him do what He Wants to", they were saying.
Trees trembled. They knew that their time to be cut had come. To many, prophets and counselors were restored, but from others, the prophets and counselors departed. Sadly, those from whom they departed noticed it not.
Focus/emphasis of the Church, and the world, due to the presence of new circumstances, changed.

I did the same thing. We're still eating tomato soup, but I know the importance of having a pantry in case of storms, attacks, etc. We moved to the 'country' so we have our own well and we have a wood burning stove if we need it. I learned a lot through that time but felt it was averted because people prayed and companies prepared.

On topic, though, I once heard a millenniallist guest-speaker at our church suggest that some OT reference to "the lions" or "the mighty lions" or somesuch was a prediction of the role of Britain (often represented as a lion) and its allies (including the U.S.) in end times (the speaker suggesting that these countries had a role to fulfill on God's side). Wish I could remember more details.

When prepping for Y2k, my family and I were very prayerful about waiting to hear God's voice. If it had turned out to be TEOTWAKI, we wanted to just be prepared as part of being in His sovereign will. And we would have continued to seek after Him and to trust Him with all our hearts leaning not to our own understanding and allowing Him to direct our paths had it turned out to be worst case scenario.
I believe the Lord used that as a training ground in my life. I see the world through different eyes than I did befroe when I was a "suburban sitting duck." And so, if the Lord tarries, I will have the same attitude about dealing with life's basic needs, a prayerful one. Not simply running after a comfy middle-class lifestyle, but using the blessings I have to be ready for whatever is next.
I guess it was about a year ago I had a dream that Wal-Mart shut down. Permanently. So now, when I shop there, I try to buy an extra bag of rice and beans, some allergy meds, TP, and whatever other household / non-perishable items I feel led to get.
Maybe we will be caught up in the clouds with Jesus before I ever need any of that, maybe not. My prayer is that the Lord use it for His purposes.
As for prepping emotionally and spiritually, I am seeking after Him to keep me in a place where I will be unmoveable in my faith and in my commitment to Him. IF He tells me, as He told Lot, Walk away and don't look back, I want to obey without a moment's hesistation.
Unless and until that happens or till we are all caught up in the clouds to meet Him, I will stay where I am or go where He tells me to go, hopefully using time wisely & being prepared.
In my extended fam, there's some amusement at my "being so concerned about "doomsday"". And yet, we lived through 9/11 five years ago. Are their psych barriers so strong they will insist their lives are guaranteed to go on for the next several decades as they have since childhood?
It's not that I hope things will go downhill. Not at all.
Scripture makes it very plain things will go downhill. If that's to happen in our lifetime and how that will impact any one of us is not clear. But burying one's head in the sand isn't the best way to handle such possibilities.
Meanwhile, we are told to watch and pray. We are to keep our lamps trimmed and burning. We are to be salt and light. We are to work while it's still day.
I am glad to live a quiet and peaceable life. I will happily do that for as long as the Lord allows such to continue. Be that for years and decades to come, Hallelujah.
If, however, "the end of the world as we know it" (TEOTWAKI) happens, I want to have done beforehand what I could have done to be ready.
Yes, that was the first I had noticed of Chris Rice. I bought the CD "Come to Jesus" and it's got several nice songs on there.
The style of music played on KLove is a little more, shall I say "trendy" than I prefer? But time and again I sense a real anointing on the words and the musicians that's appealing to me, & it keeps me coming back for more.
Where I used to live I could get KLove on my car radio, but that's not true currently. There are two Christian radio stations here, one has lovely praise music, the other the more trendy stuff. I switch back and forth, and that is a nice balance for me.
I bought the CD that has "Come to Jesus" on it and it's got several nice songs.

I don't worry too much about myself but I am concerned for my children and grandchildren. One family is saved and going to church, one has turned its back on God for now and another is a Bahai. I've been able to reach my church going family with concerns about the end times but the other two, well I guess God will have to do that! We're to pray for those in authority over us (and other nations) so that we CAN live in peace. Love, Mxxx
The sages say that ‘Everything that ever was or ever will be is in the Torah’ and they are correct. They go on to relate that the Prophets and Writings are extensions of Torah. And for that matter the Brit HaDashah (New Covenant) and writings such as the Zohar.

This ‘prophesy’ reads a lot like Isaiah 24.
