I guarded that list with my life. I didn't want to be like the little old lady who got into the confessional and read her list: "Bread, milk, green beans . .. " and exclaimed, "Oh my God! I left my sins in the A&P!"ROFLOL! I just got this picture in my mind of you going back to the A&P, walking up to the cashier and asking, "Excuse me, but did I leave my sins in here?"

"for all these sins, especially [insert besetting sin of the month] and my forgotten sins, I ask pardon from God and absolution and penance from you, my spiritual father."Good summary! If I said that, I think Father Hawker would crack up ... he probably learned the same words as a schoolboy in Boston, 60 years ago!

LOL! Monsignor thinks of me as an overzealous (and antique) convert, I'm sure.
He knows I like Latin!

What's not to like? Father Hawker has grown used to the South, after more than 10 years in Charlotte, and has recently been overheard saying, "We don't really care how you did things Up Nawth!"

That's a bumper sticker! "We don't care how y'all did it up North."
Another one: "Delta is ready when you are!"

I think if Father said "Y'all," his teeth would fly out :-).
