Here are some beautiful pictures showing the St. Louis Oratory and Archbishop Burke. Very traditional!

Correction: the St. Francis de Sales Oratory in St. Louis.

Absolutely gorgeous. Thanks for the link. Not for nothing was St. Louis known as Rome of the West.

Carolina, you have a gorgeous home page and I congratulate you on your decision to home school. I'm in St. Louis and am puzzled by your reference to St. Agnes. The church was closed years ago by Archbishop Rigalli. Archbishop Burke is loved and respected by conservative Catholics, but is reviled by the CINOs. The Post-Dispatch has placed hgim on their list of those whom will never receive good press. All signs that he is doing an excellent job.

Carolina probably means St. Agatha, which the Archbishop established for the Polish language community after the difficulties at St. Stanislaus. I'm in St. Louis also; FYI, Archbishop Burke will be celebrant at 10AM High Mass this Sunday (16th) at St. Francis de Sales Roman Catholic Oratory, for the Latin Liturgy Association convention.

This is the main high altar, but you can only see the bottom half of it - it is high indeed, at least forty feet. What you can't see are the four (yes four) side altars. It is truly a magnificent building.

Daff, I'm a parishioner at St. Francis, by way of St. Agatha. I'm looking forward to the Mass. I will probably see you there. D

Thanks for the correction. That's what I get for commenting from memory. It's St. Stanislaus that I meant to refer to.

IIRC (dangerous thing), Fr. Bozek recently went to see Abp. Burke. Wonder what came of that meeting?
