It's only about 30 miles. The road leads up into the pinyons...there isn't a meadow anymore. The place is dry and desolate and a perfect monument to the horror that happened there.

If you have a pick-up or 4X4, try to get down into the little ghost town of Pinto. It's a strange sort of place. There are Victorian 2-story brick homes that have been kept in relative repair, but nothing else is there (the town might house ghosts for all I know.)
