Sorry to hear that they lost their lease. As for their bishop, I'd like to say I'm surprised, but considering we have bishops who believe abortion is a woman's right to choose and homosexuality isn't a sin, it shouldn't be surprising that your bishop isn't suggesting people stop this.

I think it is more of a recognition that the claims about masons are simply false (e.g., crud about being Deist, anti-rome, etc).

But, hey, the bureaucracy is just getting around to Galileo. These things take time.

Masons whose aim is to marginalize the Christian Church

I cannot BELIEVE I have to say this again.

The Masons are not anti-Christian. They cannot be. The Masonic rite is explicitly Christian-centered.

That is exactly correct. The main reason there are no Roman Catholic Masons is simply that the Holy See has banned membership and apparently will not reconsider. That the data suggest that the very best thing that could happen would be for the Knights of Columbus and the Freemasons to mutually recognize each other will simply not come into play.

Sad, that.

Masonry is not at all what its detractors paint it to be and this would be a far better, more patriotic, more sensible and better-run country if there were more Masons. It is that edifying and worthwhile an organization.
