As for Christian themed movies, I would certainly include the moralistic Irwin Allen disaster movies of the early 70's.
Remember the 'Jeremiah' scene where Gene Hackman is pleading with them to come with him out of the ballroom and they angrily refuse ? And drown like rats in punishment.

I don't think "The Da Vinci Code" is going to be high on the list for most conservative Christians. The church I attended did a 3-week series on the various flaws in the book.

VeggieTales is a great blessing to my home! My kids love it.

C.S. Lewis made some vague analogies to some Christian doctrines in his fantasy works, but I think many Christians today blow the Christian implications way out of proportion in these works. Lewis did have some very direct works dealing with Christian issues, but these fantasy stories are more for children's entertainment than deep adult Christian theology. But of course, many Americans who are obsessed with movies and entertainment can somehow spiritualize every little thing that happens on the big screen. Mel Gibson picked his nose, hey look, that symbolized the resurrection! He's such a great Christian role model!
