The fact that they are headquartered in Los Angeles and having traditional Masses said tells me that they are not entirely in communion with the Ordinary of the LA Archdiocese. (Of course, I have trouble holding that against them; I couldn't stand to be under him either.)
IOW, I think they're schismatic traditionalists, not "RC".
In Bible, we have the words of Jesus. He told us who would have eternal life, and who is already under condemnation.
Jesus said, "He that believes in Him (Jesus) is not condemned; but he who does not believe is condemned already, because he has not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God." John 3:16-18.
You can claim ignorance in false humility, but that just promotes lies.
There was a 'are you going to the fifth ring of hades' test that scrolled by a couple days ago. Did you happen to see that? Many of us are relieved to find we are destined for purgatory rather than any of the levels (not proud! though, wouldn't be good to be proud, they say).
He who does not believe because he has never heard the Gospel and thus has never had a chance to believe in it, or he who hears it and willfully rejects it?
Spitting on it, but since his eyes were failing he wanted to make sure he didn't miss?
I don't know anything about Aikin. But the only people who ever bring up the subject of John Paul II having kissed the Koran are traditionalists, who use it as "proof" that he had abandoned the teachings of earlier popes on religious liberty. Other Catholics are not bothered by this incident and view it merely as gesture of good will, which it was.
Yes, popes make mistakes. And perhaps this was one. If it was, it was a small one. I question the motives of Catholics who like to point out the mistakes that popes have made.
Seek and you shall find. Your question implies Jesus lied.
