I have known a mormon or two hundred thousand and some of them are are fairly decent. Of the so-called 12-13 million they claim as members, it really only means they are on the rolls. Many of those are 108 years old and at least half do not profess belief any longer. Hence, my tag line.

I would like to see a count of actual tithe payers. Those are the true believers.

Sure they are. They have simply disguised their name to attract new followers.

I know a heck of a lot of decent Mormons. Some of those are inactive Mormons, some are Jack-Mormons, and some of them a good Mormons.

I wonder who it is that gets to decide which is which.

THe Mormons aren't out to overthrow the govt. now. They are normal folks who are American citizens just like me.

But, back then, they did want to overthrow the govt. That was their goal.

I didn't say that you did.

Who is it that gets to decide what a "real" Catholic is?

On the visitors building next to the Temple in Kirtland, it still says "Jesus Christ Church of the Latter Day Saints". I drive by it about once a week. Wonder when they will change the name?

No, they're a splinter group who deny the authority of the Apostles in Salt Lake city. Therefore, by definition, they are no more Mormon than Lutherans are Catholic.

They consider themselves the "true Mormons" because of succession. What's the difference?

Found it. Adam and Eve lived in Daviess County, Missouri. Does the church still teach this?

Because some get confused with the Lord Gov. and the world gov.

In other word the Lord Kingdom is in the future and not a temporal agenda, in the mean time as followers of Jesus Christ are preparing the way!

When the Kirtland Temple was build Joseph Smith was still alive and most likely the name was the same as at the time the original core of the Lord Church,

The Salt Lake LDS are the ones the Lord authorized, and the splinter group had stumbled and now have even embrased the UN!
