First off let’s apply some common sense here:
Mormons claim that “little children are not capable of sin because they do not have a sinful nature”. Anyone who has children, has worked at a daycare or has been around children knows that they DO have a sinful nature. They reach the understanding of what right and wrong are before they reach the age at which they are no longer considered children. Children sneak into the cookie jar at night when thier parents are asleep because they KNOW it is wrong and they must do so when thier parents are not looking. This is proof of a sinful nature during the time they are considered children.
Second- Ephesians 6:1-3 says:
Children obey your parents in the Lord for this is right. Honour thy father and mother; (which is the first commandment with a promise) That it may be well with thee and thou mayest live long on the earth.
Obviously God is telling our children to obey thier parents. Why? Because even children DO reach a point when they understand right and wrong. God would not have to remind them to stay away from sin if they didn’t have a sinful nature.
The first part of Moroni 8:8 DOES NOT parallel Mark 2:17:
It amazes me how Mormons continually take verses out of context. Mark 2:17 is NOT a verse written about children. If you read the verses before it (Mark 2: 13-17) you’ll see that Christ refered to the “publicans and sinners” as those who are in need of Him.
NOWHERE in Mark 10:13–17, did Jesus SAY He did not consider little children to be in need of repentance.
This part of the scriptures is meant to explain to us that we need to “...receive the kingdom of God AS a little child”.
Meaning we needd to have child-like faith in order to enter into Heaven. No where in the entire Bible will you see WRITTEN that God, Jesus or anyone else states that children do not have a sinful nature.
We are not born knowing right from wrong but we ALL grow to the point where we LEARN (as children) right from wrong.

I have noticed that the Mormons I come in contact with are not willing to question thier faith. Infact, my wife (a former Mormon) was taught that they are not to question the teaching of the Book of Mormon, Doctrine of Covenants or The Pearl of Great Price.
So my question is this: Do you believe so strongly in your own faith that you would be willing to stand up against any questioning of it?

It is a AMAZING conversation between a Christian and a dedicated mormon believer. No yelling and condesention on either side. Just an honest conversation about the differences between the two beliefs.

Most people, incidentally, don't care to question their faith. If they've got something they're comfortable with that's good enough and they can get on with the actual business of living.
You and the Book of Mormon are wrong in saying that “the curse of Adam is taken from them (children) in me, that it hath no power over them.”
If that were true no child would be born with defects or sickness, which are obviously part of the curse of Adam and the effects of the Fall. The Bible clearly says that children inherit the sinful nature and are born in iniquity. Psalms 51:5 says “Surely I was sinful at birth, sinful from the time my mother conceived me.”
The Book of Mormon is clearly wrong!!!

Jesus came cause we can’t save ourselves and became disconnected from God etc. my point is Faith is in that what he asks us to do we will aim for his righteousnes and his kingdom. I realise I don’t need all things on this world. I feel wiser in mind or soul but not so good in action. so that proves to me that body is weak and mind in action. I opened that door slightly in trusting God. I felt I depended in Him. I believing in his strength and guidance if I walk with Christ. I think the further you go in faith working with him through commandments cancelling things out in your life that pulls us back to sin and the world. getting rid of possession and depending on false God’s like money securities something I still struggle with but I know that these things are harmful to us and God and Christ. I don’t think I belong to any physical church. but I hope to belong more to the invisible church. I would like to have communion amongst followers who are following Christ but so far I know all churches accurate and I’ve had to find truth from here and there to get a little top on my knowledge and so far it appear the bible backs it up. but I also don’t want to be any longer deceived and led astray of ideas and missing crucial parts of the bible. I know for fact everything in Christ and God and the commands not just the the commandments and examples of Jesus is important and it is all governed by Love which is pure righteousness. the things I hear here I cannot imagine Jesus ever doing while he spent his time for. and the words that come to mind is “free will.” God gave us all free will. that’s probably how all the false denomination churches came about. people going their own ways. even the latter day church has separated and went many ways and started corrupting with taking out and adding in. I’m just stating what I already heard of the church. back to my conclusion. I think it is important to cancel out all you know. all you’ve heard. freewill means Jesus didn’t force his teachings on to us. he didn’t say I’m right your wrong. he didn’t come first to condemn. and we have no means to count judgements. I must admit I worry bout everyone now from all this. I know only a few people find the narrow road. but I think it means those who are willing to put anything for God even their house, family and follow him. obey. only God and Jesus’s way is right. it’s in the bible. I think you cancel what you hear by men who are not leading an example of God the fruits they bear or by everything you came to know and just be a child fresh new coming to learn the true way of life rather than the sinful way of life you were surrounded by. God s words are the true way of life. and by reading them. wiping out your head this world and all you know and starting fresh read being open not thinking of your opinions ways etc you might spot things as God reveals it to you through spirit and in his words. the way your to live. examples. some people spot things too like the first order of the bible as said by Jesus. so far it is good. but if I read it right difficult bits will unfold as I go. hopefully I’ll know God. I already feel need to pray. praise him naturally for a lot I learn and know and thank him for everything. naturally. he can transform you I can’t do it alone. I can talk to him. I heard its ok to talk to him about struggles to and ask for help. the biggest thing is knowing he will do if you believe he’ll do and he’ll be there if you ask him to. I do know we’re not to be babies. right now I struggle with that as I’m trying to move from my life comforts thing that make me stable and proud but now I realise are all false security. god tells truth whole. this world half truths. god can help you step mountains with faith. this world they may lead you to the door and congratulate you for it. we all need help because we’re all missing that King authority of righteousness in our lives. God. and we went our own way right from Adam and eve. which moved us into sin. and all can’t find God know God or follow righteousness for we are dirty with sin that is permanent. but God made away Jesus. we can’t do any of it without Jesus. they ‘re taught us righteousness lessons to follow and obey. but will only work if we humble ourselves love them love others. which is by God’s love for us we came to learn love enough to shake us into realising love and come to repentance. beginning block and believe repent confess ask for help and start doin God’s will go your life with belief of Gods love and Gods strength. and only because of Jesus you can talk to someone so high and righteous through Jesus name. who is righteous and man and earned or received his reward and blessing his Lordship obeying God from beginning to end. I will say it is hard to do as Jesus did. we can cause we believe god won’t go there climb that hill alone. but Jesus did show that with talking to God believing His will is good for you Him and the people. your suffering is not further than you can endure in his eyes. as you walk and grow I know that the more soft your heart and more you can endure for when you think people matter more and it governs all selfish thought or focus etc obviously selflessness with pain and fear I’m pretty sure you probably could go up their and do anything for the God and the world that God asks you to do. now from all this I can see what your doing is what the devil wants to put fear, doubt, confusion, bitterness, self righteousness over our security of where we are relying on, etc this talk is not what God teaches. not in the bible probably not in the Mormons. etc. I can never talk like the people of Christ and God. but I know quite humbly that we love each other and my only fear is what if either one is in the wrong place and will be lost. but the way this is looking were not practising Jesus were practising what comes naturally to us. this means a great big deal to me. to you to others and so it should. I love God like he loves me. but we probably don’t love each other like I please God and he’s close to me. though I aim and will continue seek and search his words and truth. but will start anything I can when I feel ready mind body and soul and heart to follow him so I know it will last and not just be a moment thing. I don’t know how those in the bible switch so quickly but they had Jesus right in their way although back then without testimony being written doubts probably were high there too like it is now when something new comes in and claims I’m the way. but I do know or just remember. I thought everything leads up to prepare us for Jesus. I thought all basic prophets were to make those aware of God again and keep God alive. the fear of God so outbursts of wickedness wouldn’t spread like it did in Noahs time. and then it prepared them for our saviour coming. nothing in the bible prepares us for Mormons. and I’m pretty sure though I never got to that part in the bible but on bible online. we are to changed our names to Christian. and be proud of that new name. which makes me think. messiah is Hebrew isn’t it not. what is Jesus language for it. surely we are to be named that. a lot of names of people are actually words which get changed with the language. but true names like my name would remain the same in any language. so surely the name of words but for people should too remain the same in any translation. like scarlet is the name of Judahs child but it’s now a name so should remain the same language. same as Jesus. his time his name is the only true name. I believe messiah maybe a word for a meaning so can be translated to Christian. my thought. anyway but Christian is our new name. the fact they changed it to Mormon mean they are disobeying God so can’t be completely following God either. within Christian it’s free will. God wants us all saved but only few can find the way. who know that they will do anything and trust God and Jesus and follow all his commands with all their heart all their strength all their mind all their soul. only way we can achieve this is by tryin our best to follow God’s and Jesus commands which I believe are the same it’s just Jesus human trying to simplify it more for us. for most couldn’t see the true meaning behind God’s command. ie. god says do not murder. the whole 10 commandments were summarized by Jesus love God love others love yourself. love governs all things. the love should start with change of mind humble desire to do God’s will to righteousness or follow Jesus to salvation and righteousness. do both and then from good tree with grow and bear good fruit. I really believe that Jesus is good tree and we will bear good fruit because of Him. God also changes our0heart gives us a new one. works in us stays close to us. the more we grow. right now I’m at beginning still ‘re learning complete trust with out anything but God even though he’s not in vision to walk massive steps with. its like getting over an addiction to drugs without a therapist but with a healer who hears you but also relapsing because of all the evil temptation things trying to lead you astray and grow fear and confusion in you like the awareness of Mormons. no offense intended lol. just I think in all my point some Christians as the bible say on judgements day believe and take one line alone believe and be saved and not take other parts. there the ones who don’t have desire to learn to grow in faith and seek God s ways and I know I still love some earth things. but I know it will subside too as things I depended on before and believed in changed my mind after learning more while I kept seeking God and truth. so more will change. if I try Atleast some commandments and commands that I consider less important than my major hard ones. anyway I want to be apart of the invisible church of Christ as being head. then I won’t be led astray by visible right church. know God personally. it’s much harder without support physically but Jesus at first didn’t0have support physically. and I’ll have God and Christ walking with me if I try hard. but Christians are true when they try lead the life of Christ. with all their strength. believe in lord and have faith as God won’t let you fall or be harmed with all your heart. think and correct your thoughts words action to Jesus way remember meditate do all Jesus and Gods will esp communion etc hard on your own but I grow because of God and it becomes in my desires and confidence because of God putting it there in my heart when I see, the more I walk toward Him and with him and toward what God wants or pleases him. soon I’ll be able to live by Jesus. but all in all Love. everything other than love which is 100per cent God and Jesus and what to look out for is something leading you astray. follow the lead of Love I say.ie if fear, anger arises something’s not right clearly. remember it also takes two to tangle. so you’ll know it’s not the work of growing in Jesus and more the work of pulling you away. if you know God that is.as I think all churches are deceitful and run by men. if this church Mormon was so strict which squashes down every free will of following God from heart and pulls up every will of following God from rules and I don’t know what as I’ve never been to Mormon church. but any church that goes asking for money from people not saved can’t be right. not leading an example of God. more like Jehovah’s witnesses to me. spreading and preaching the gospel is good. but God is the one that opens others hearts who he knows well and pulls you to0preach it. Holy spirit works wonders to getting others to listen like in the bible. all people think they know God and Jesus and can do without because it’s been spread too much to deaf ears. instead of saving your drawing them away from the effectiveness. more ppl now know the gospels than along time ago. ppl who knew god in early bible times knew him really enough to fear him and still didn’t obey him fully. know one fears him nowdays that don’t obey him.to me it sounds like devil’s plan to bore and tire folk of hearing about God when those who aren’t listening to God or his holy spirit and when to preach it. rap rap. yes can I help you. do you want to know about Jesus today and what he can do for your life. slam. do they really care about saving ppl. it sounds more like a salesman to people. your selling Jesus? why? does Jesus deserve to be sold? no. anyway so far most morons fruits seem too perfect but only long faith blessing and God’s love and healing coz Jesus speaks directly to a church that completely obeys can do that. but others do come away on their own a different story so far that’s what I’m seeing. the change life starts with you. not with the physical church. it’s your responsibility. when your changed to continue and grow separate with God even outside of church so when you draw away your not you know still a seed without the church. Jesus comes to one group of ppl maybe. but I still think God is for individual ppl and lives too. fruit is not in the church it’s in the church goers life and existence. then you’ll know I say. esp the elders. which I believe the0bible says they have to0be mature and 3. I thought Mormons only have 1 elder. unless it had changed from new testament. anyway. Love first in actions, words, etc and obedience join them I’ll be happy to. but the following starts from with you and God. you don’t know what god expects of0you read the0bible0first. and0I0think the0church will come after the0growth in the0invisible church of0Christ. sorry for0long message.
I agree with colour country. I know that I think more God did this to help and I try with my mind heart and strength to the0best I can knowing God is there and wants the0best and provides me. I feel worship comes with doing God’s will and change of mind heart and soul and praise comes from natural thankfulness of everything. you just know God’s love his patience his longsuffering personally in your life and from the bible etc and you humbly feel calmed and praise him for his love for you. praise him for the good he is and thank him for everything. and the thought of all that God is makes me want to try follow Jesus and God. for all I have are less important all of a sudden. none of these things can give love like God. you just know God from truth like what colourcountry wrote you feel it if your heart has been soften. God knows your trouble areas before you do. mine it’s trust as I’ve been deceived from a young age from my own authority which I don’t mean to say it to direct attention to it but to guide you to learn the trust that I learnt so0wonderfully from God’s way. I learnt0to0love and forgive myself and them and all because mostly I know I can talk to God about it and suddenly it all came clear in my heart afterwards and in the bible etc. something’s have been done for good too. and I wouldn’t know God like I do without any of it but mostly I wouldn’t0be able to help them if I wasn’t the one on the outside looking in. and it helped me grow in faith love trust and forgiveness etc esp because God’s taught me to step over big gaps to reach0the0other side rather than hide and take little steps and grow more withdrawn. so far it’s still new and hard but you learn you do need God. and God will help.God builds us up. he longs for you.
