Most of this I already posted on the On Understanding the Book of the Revelation thread, but the last section is new.
Btw, if anyone knows of a good site to post graphics on to hotlink to, please let me know so I can post the chart that goes with this chapter. Thanks.
Seriously, just formatting this for posting I found half a dozen typos. Please let me know if you find any more. Thanks for all your support.

Neeners
Here's the figure that goes with the final section of the first chapter:
2. With the "things that must happen hereafter "(beginning with ch. 4 vs.1), the references become exceedingly Jewish in content and language.
3. The book of Revelation has about 400 verses, which contain over 800 references to the Old Testament. Thus it requires exhaustive study in the OT. If you are one of those that studies the New Testament only, you won't get it.
Wait just a cottin pickin minute. That does not look like an official, inspired, registered, Clarence Larkin chart to me. There are not enough arrows and the printing runs horizontaly not vertically and at an angle or circular. If you want these lessons to have the air of respectability and scholarly gravis I suggest you plagiarize some real Larkin charts. Remember Larkins famous last words, "if they can follow the chart you haven't drawn enough lines."
2. The idea that the rest of the New Testament is not Jewish in character is a rather bizarre one to me. What race was Yeshua (Jesus)? Jewish. What about Kefa (Peter)? Jewish. Yochanan (John)? Jewish. What about Sha'ul (Paul)? He was not only a Jew, but a Pharisee and a rabbi to boot!
3. You're a Chuck Missler fan, aren't you? Me too. I just happen to disagree with him about some things, pretrib among them. Acts 17:11, you know. :^)
I'm also a Messianic (note the subtitle of the book), which means that I hold the Tanakh in very high regard indeed. The relative lack of quotes from the Tanakh so far stems simply from the fact that relatively few passages from the Tanakh deal with hermeneutics, as opposed to several dozen in the NT that do.
Besides, I have NO talent for art.

Did I say character? I meant context if I did.
And yes, I am off to a Missler study right now, so I gotta go.
"my fellow Neeners"
Will someone please tell me what the he-- a "neener" is? Is that like the colorful woman riding on the dragon or is it a mystery that you learn after scoring esoteric points known only by the crazy aunt in the attic?
What? We haven't inducted blue-duncan yet?
BTW, what you've written so far has me looking forward to the rest of the book.
Neeners are those of us whose soteriology (or perhaps our attitude) is such that we have been denied access or entrance onto the Great Reformed Ping List. GRPL.
After being denied access we began the Knights of the Eternal Time Table as a substitute for those who were disfellowshipped from the GRPL. We are the Knights who say "Neener Neener Neener", which of course is our battle cry as we battle for truth, justice and the Arminian way.
We are not a ping list. We are a loose association of posters who tend to get the undies of hard line Calvinists in a bunch whenever we gather together on a thread.
To which we usually respond by holding up our shields {!} and yelling out the KOETT battle cry: Neener neener neener.... Neener3
Should you wish further information, or should you wish to be knighted into our silly organization you can check in at this site.
From my discussions with blue duncan, I believe he may very well be a Calvinist... (of sorts). Nevertheless, he's certainly welcome to join. If memory serves me correctly there is a slot open for "Lord Protector and Keeper of the Institutes."
I agree, Bman. B-D definitely should be inducted.
We need to go to the High Protector with a recommendation.
I have no idea how many there are, but some have been assembled. Any number constitutes a quorum since no one (including us) knows how many we be.
A formal recommmendation, HP (Marlowe) that B-D be invited to the neener fold, that he be inducted as a KOETT (Knight of the Eternal Time Table), that he be taught the secret handshake, and that he receive authority to use the {!}. And, of course, all the rights and privileges appertaining thereunto, etc., etc.
Of course, if you do find some theology to nit-pick, have at it! I'm all for having my ideas tested.
:>)
First....ya've got it all wrong.
Any questions, just write down what I tell ya. Got it?
(f you ain't pre-trib rapture, then you ain't split!)
Yeesh! Reading that thread is like walking the Paths of the Dead.
Although with some of the venom spewed, it's a wonder a certain "just a ping list" remains as long as it is...
Well thanks for clearing that up, then. Neener-neener. :^p ;^)
