No sweat. I favor relationships far too much to be too fussed up over that rule. Our brief comments were quite fine. Even a subthread within a thread can be tolerable to me for a while.

I was just about to put together a post with a little more information about the position of Northern Cross, with Deneb and NGC7000 positioned at the parting of the river.
One of my astronomy books notes that "if you are under a dark sky you may be able to see the Milky Way divide into two streams at Cygnus."
More specifically, this divide begins at/near the tail; that is, Deneb (alpha Cygnus). The North America nebula is slightly above the divide.

From Earth to Sky
Whenever you want to specify a point on the surface of a sphere, you'll probably use what geometers call spherical coordinates. In the case of Earth, these are named latitude and longitude.
Imagine the lines of latitude and longitude ballooning outward from the Earth and printing themselves on the inside of the sky sphere. They are now called, respectively, declination and right ascension.
Directly out from the Earth's equator, 0° latitude, is the celestial equator, 0° declination. If you stand on the Earth's equator, the celestial equator passes overhead.
Stand on the North Pole, latitude 90° N, and overhead will be the north celestial pole, declination +90°…
Vega is the bluest of these stars, and you can see it overhead after it gets dark. Vega travels exactly at the latitude of Washington DC and San Francisco, so it is more or less overhead for observers in the United States. Vega is part of Lyre, a small constellation which looks like the letter "V." Vega is an Arabian word for "swooping eagle."
Just to the east of Vega, also high in the sky, is Deneb, in the tail of the swan, Cygnus. We can see the bright stars of the swan's wings spread wide across the sky. The two stars of the swan's long neck lead out from the center body star, opposite from the tail. This constellation is sometimes called the Northern Cross.
